So far with just the prologue mission done well this looks really promising, hell of a nice job on the game engine too and how well it performs but that's nothing new with Frostbite I suppose, heh.

Well I did check this thread time to time, but no one posts it.. Found it a bit strange, since there is so much talk in Forza3 thread. :nerd:

 

Ah it seems search results expire or something, unfortunate though yeah there weren't that many from Forza 3 itself, mostly it was from the Apex version of the other one.


Battlefield 1 (One screenshot, game seems to think I have a controller and so far I've found no way that works to alter this so I can't really control movement that well, oddly enough it worked fine yesterday when I started but eh, I'll find some solution.)

Anyways that and Shadow Warrior 2, which right at the end as I press "ESC" I notice the game has a dedicated photo mode heh.

Lots of settings in Shadow Warrior 2 as well, everything on max at 125% scaling (So 3200x1800 kinda.) and it runs at around 45 - 50 FPS so far, not too bad so dropping the "SSAA"-like res scaling should stabilize it to pretty close to 60 I think.
(Oh and I disabled chromatic aberration but you can toggle DOF, motion blur and other stuff too depending on personal preferences.)

taking screenshots with photomode doesn't capture full details so going old school with msi AB is the best solution for now

I guess it saves in some compressed form?

Haven't used it myself yet besides checking some of the options it provides (And a pretty short camera range heh.) but outside of the resolution scalar (1x to 4x your current resolution, possibly also including the res scaling in the game options.) using Afterburner for taking a screenshot during photomode (When hiding the UI of it.) should work about the same no?

It's also possible to use the in-game dev console to hide UI elements and the 1st person weapon model but unlike earlier games from Flying Wild Hog using the Roadhog engine (Was that it's name?) there's little reason since the photo mode hides all that for you besides the photo mode UI itself but that can be hidden easily via the various hotkeys provided.

EDIT: As for the game itself it's a fun shooter (And also well optimized!) but even more so than the previous game from 2013 this is Shadow Warrior in name only with little in common otherwise besides re-using some character names.
(Still fun to play though I'm not entirely sold on the loot side and moving it closer to e.g Borderlands or pseudo-random level generation parameters but eh I probably just need some more time with the game.)

Then again good luck to a developer studio attempting to find a publisher for a deal to a faithful modern remake of the original game, or some of the other older shooters or other games out there, even if there's a market for it I guess few publishers would risk it with some of the elements contained in games back when ESRB and/or PEGI were a bit less lax or completely absent.
(Or other problems, Blood comes up every now and again but legal rights is a mess it seems among other issues.)
