the idea is good... but the result is awfull.

better get a GPU card with already the power plug at rear.

    Easier said then done.

I could get one just for fun but since shipping and handling costs aren't free I don't think that I'll bother.

Reminds me when they gave away the free high airflow brackets with GTX 480s.

If only it wasn't looking so cheap, plastic and all. But still, it's something you get for free, like newer mounting mechanisms for Noctua coolers, and that's always a good thing.

One could paint it with metallic paint anyway if you really fancy it hehe

nice idea.pretty sure a lot of people would find this useful. but without EVGA branding.gonna wait a little longer until these will be available on ebay for cents and most likely even with any brand name you can imagine.am sure some chinese factory is already producing them :)

i like that btw... originaly the molex (yes long time ago) were on the back of graphic card, and they put it on top for the same reason that they put the PCIe power on the back now lol

Did they really have to make the adapter that huge? I mean there is nothing in this adapter. It's a few wires at most.
Good idea though but very poor execution.

I think, if you rethink the connector and mould the connection into it, instead of using removable click pins, you can remove a lot of height since most of the space in a PCIe connector is taken by soldering or pinching the click-pin onto the wire and then the length of the wire and the length of the pin.

Think Sata connectors but with pins.

Also, PSU manufacturers could use a PCIe 6 pin connector with a 90° angle ( right ) so they'll point rearwards and use round multi-wire cable instead of just bundeling 6 wired together with some zipties or een worse, melt them net to each other into a flat cable.
And use a thicker gauge single ground wire instead of 3 (or 5 if 8 pin ) of them.

Are people that lazy with cable management that these things are really needed, sigh.
