I was currently using tweakforce 368.69 and had much better performance as opposed to 372.70 and .90 due to the latter increasing my CPU load and being CPU limited playing wow at 4680x2560.

I have a 4970k @ 4.8 and dual 1080s and the reality is I can't play on max and expect over 60fps everywhere due to wows main thread bouncing off 100%, meanwhile my cards are around 40-50% load.

So long story short - I dip and lag in places with the newer drivers that I don't with the older. The new ones may be better in this way or that, but apparently decreasing CPU load wasn't an area they were focused on.

Installing new drivers on an sli+surround system is a bit of an event and going through them all is like pulling teeth so I'm hoping someone with a similar experience or people with any input at all can reach a consensus.

I've heard a lot about 368.81 - are those superior to 372.90? To 368.69? Any others?

test 372.95 quadro modded for your 1080, other possibility is install windows 8.1 with all updates integrated very good performance for games you using windows 10 currently?

Just make sure that driver signature enforcement is disabled or else installing the quadro driver will fail.
