Actually, the microstuttering is still present, regardless if I use v1 or v2 limiter.

RTSS @ 59fps has no problems however.

What's the difference between NVInspector and RTSS limiter?

that's y i said use CRU if your monitor is running 59 Hz or set 59 fps.

FYI, my monitor is 59.94 Hz but i got screen tearing in dota 2 only.

i see stuttering in both cases. first part of video more stuttering, second part less stuttering but it's still there.

may i ask what you are trying to achieve with 59.7fps cap? you do know you need to cap your fps to your monitor refresh rate for smoothest possible gameplay with no stuttering. 60hz = 60fps cap, 50hz = 50fps cap etc.

i don't know why some people recommend 59fps or 61fps limit but it's wrong. essentially game will render 1 less or 1 more frame than what you monitor is expecting every second, and you will have stutter every second.

No need for CRU if FPS_max engine command OR RTSS work perfectly @ 58/59 limit.

I don't understand why NVinspector doesn't work properly anymore, a few months ago I had zero problems with 59 fps limit in NVinspector!?

Second part of the video is probably because there is a step when I move to the far right. Or maybe you see the missing frame with Vsync + limiter@58?

AFAIK putting 58/59 limit + Vsync Triple Buffered nullifies input lag and removes tearing, sometimes at the cost of noticing that one missing frame, which I really don't notice? Or am I wrong about 58/59 limit + vsync?

@2mg v-sync in global setting on NVCP got some issue so wait for next coming driver. MG already stated at geforce.com

If you want I can explain exactly the passages, I've 60 fps now, audio over hdmi and also 3dvision (monitor rename trick) cause mine it's a passive-3d monitor ;)

I'm not using driver based vsync anyway, just wanted the NVinspector limiter v2 to work like before.

nvidia changed how the internal framelimiting works it has not done 30/60/120 for while now, nvidia things for some reason 61.8 and all those other wierd off numbers work beter nvidia has to fix itm Though the Internal limiting which inspector uses never was smooth like RTSS limiting

RTSS locked at 60 actual stay 60 in my experience. Inspector v2 60 still does 61.8

Frame Rate Limiter V2 gives my totally exact results.
However, there is a hitch for some of you: Since some driver version, it seems the difference between framerate and refreshrate must be at least 3fps to make the driver fps limiter work as intended.
If the set up difference is smaller than 3fps (e.g. 73fps with 75Hz display), the driver simply uses vsync on instead (75fps@75Hz and no tearing). No chance to get e.g. 73fps with vsync on, but 75Hz refreshrate.

Well, if this is important to you, you should start a thread about it on Geforce forums.
I personally think Vsync + fps limiter at the same time is always a bad idea, this physically has to result in stutter (because each x frames one is repeated).

There is no perfect solution apart from Gsync, imho there isn't even any apart from it. Just try to ignore the tearing else.
I play without vsync and just set a fps limit to 120 to avoid excessive coil whine when there would be insanely high fps else like in game intros etc.

Right now I'm using Adaptive V-sync set in control panel, Off in game and it's smooth with no tearing at 60hz.Playing GTA 5 and Witcher 3.But with Witcher 3 I have to set in game option 60 fps to get smooth gameplay, without it it stutters badly.

I don't necessarily have to use a limiter for Gta 5 but through my testing past couple weeks I've found RTSS to be better than Inspector locking at 60.

Just tested with GTA5. Frame limiter through NV Inspector, I find it stuttery, too.
With RTSS, it's smooth as butter.

now restore back to default on NVIDIA Profile Inspector & try out RTSS v6.5.0 Beta 5

i turn off v-sync thru NVCP & FIFA 15 setting + locked 60 fps thru RTSS but is not working at all, i saw the tearing & shuttering..

i minimized RTSS & set Application detection level to High + Framerate limit 60 (enter)

i also tried 59/60 fps with adaptive v-sync enabled still got shuttering. like i said RTSS can't even locked 60 fps at all, 1st loading already started tearing & whining cos i hit above my monitor refresh rate.

under RTSS properties > Compatibility properties > choose 32-bit or 64-bit

    got any different?? thanks.

you are kinda right, but slightly less input lag with 59fps limit isn't worth introducing stuttering every second due to missing frames. strange you don't notice it because it's very noticeable for me.

lowest input lag you can get without any stuttering is using 60fps limit + triple buffering + max prerendered frames 1.

and if you need the lowest possible input lag while still having no tearing use the new fast sync option (it's not perfect yet, i had some weird stuttering with it).

This won't work either. Either the fps are capped by Vsync and there is no stutter, or the fps are capped by fps limiter and thus not perfectly synced anymore (which introduces stutter).

For lower input lag, I'd try out adaptive vsync. It definitely feels more direct than TB Vsync to me and shouldn't stutter as long as the refreshrate cap is maintained. Can stutter a bit though when it turns vsync off when the fps go below refreshrate cap.
