In real gaming situations ar. 40-50 % gain.

Titan X SLI Pascal vs Maxwell in Witcher 3
Keep in mind test place was extremely tough.

Sometimes less like in Rise of Tomb Raider

    Hi folks.
Placed an order for Titan X Pascals for 2-Way SLI end of last week. Should be here sometime this week.
Asus Strix GTX1080s moving to the 2nd rig. Hehe

The Titan X Pascals are absolutely amazing.

Just disappointed that they are gimped to 2-Way SLI though.

Installed an EK Nickel block :)

    http://imgur.com/3MKvtEQ

Basic results are below (I don't have time tonight to do more) - this is using the QDC pre-filled Nickel block with the Predator 240.

Firstly - the predator 240 seems to be waaaaaaaay good enough to handle +1 gpu ontop of the CPU.

As I say, I've not had time to overclock yet - this is all on stock settings.

    Without the block:

You know the story. My card boosted to around 1,740 - obviously without a very agressive fan curve it would not stay there at all. Temps would settle around 75 or so depending on the game.

    With the block:

Boost clocks are now 1,835mhz and stable without touching anything. Free performance, woo.

Max GPU tempreture reached was 42 deg c. (this is running Unigene valley on a loop).

    Overclocking tomorrow... :)

obviously its answered in the other thread, but on win server 2012r2 using 372.54:

and without 4-way sli, max eyec-andy/physics, it would be difficult to achieve

    390FPS average, @ 4096x2160

Yeeah, nice! Let us know what the max OC will be under water. Did you check for max OC under air too just to see how much further you can go?

Nice rig, kind of a shame that there's so many different led colors in there, although you can't possible pick stuff together so everything matches. What is that fan on top of the CPU block, I'm curious :D

It's an Antec cooler fan - I used to use it to blow some air directly on the VRMs. It's not very effective on the RVE from what I can tell - but it still moves air so I just left it there.

hehe well maybe it helps cool the RAM too, who knows :D

I have that too, bought it once to cool down gpu from the side, think it was with custom 570GTX, but like you noticed it wasn't really effective,.. Well unless mat max rpm :eek:rder:

btw killer gpu setup:pc1::thumbup:, does it scale properly in those games that scale good? Because I saw nv trolled they will focus on 2x SLI only..

at what resolution do you play?

I noticed in the pic you still have the fake back plate heat sinks on your cards still on your cards.

The cards will be thermally cooler by 5-7 c with them off
Removal does not require any tinkering with the front heatsink

Need a small jeweler a Philips screwdriver

Remember to put back in the two larger screws for the card end panel

    And

    You're all set

Perfect card for 3440x1440 maintaining 100 fps across the board.

I've got two of these coming for my new build, putting them under water so hoping for some decent over clocking!

What chipset and processor are you looking at? I just went from X58 980x to my current build. I need to upgrade the GPUs....sigh....Dat 4K so pretty.

I'll be getting the Intel 6950X, been saving for so many years lol

How are you finding performance with the new cpu vs your 980X?

I couldn't justify the 10 core. If I was doing some heavy duty tasks. Folks might think it is a placebo but those extra cores just seem to make things run soooo buttery smooth. As far as processing, I'd say pretty close to about 15% clock for clock. My 980x was kinda dud at 4.2 so the extra 300 mhz and IPC about 25% give or take. Boot times and general system response due to the faster interfaces. It just feels less clunky and I don't have to compromise due to system limitations. I'm personally kinda disappointed with the 170 and 270 offerings. They seem more limited in connecting peripherals.

I was originally going to wait for Ryzen but the PC fund has been taunting me for some time so I pretty much just went with the highest end stuff I could get right now.

Totally agree about the 170/270 boards, seem a bit under spec'd for the money.

I've got all the parts now except for the Titan X's so I'll probably start assembling this weekend, first time I've watercooled the GPU's so that'll be a nice learning experience.
