Half-Life ³ secretly announced?

Valve will be Valve. I'll only ever believe that HL3 or whatever the next HL related game is called exists is when i'm playing it on my PC. Until then, unless it's an official announcement from Valve themselves.....meh.

Half life 3 - Duke Nukem forever..

 

Probably the really disappointing thing is they supposedly half made a game and scrapped it because it wasn't the 'next level' like Half Life 1 and 2 were. Geez guys, at least they could have released them as fun maps etc to keep people interested.

 

Everyone wants HL3 but how about the 1 game they actually announced and never released? HL2 Episode 3.

 

I'm past the point of caring about either one of those now. If Valve were going to release them, they would have done so already. I guess with the success of DOTA, Valve has higher priorities.

 

9 years is a very loooooong time to release another episode after ep2, so it's either hl3 or nothing. Probably nothing. :cry:

You gotta imagine, no matter how long it takes to eventually show up.... when it does, they will give those final moments of Ep 2 some closure and continue/finish that story. Even if HL3 is a totally new story and they just mention it in a prelude movie.

People said there'd never be Star Wars episode 7, 8, and 9. There will be a Half Life 3.

 

With HL2 they made a big thing out of the physics, it seems to me they are struggling to invent the next big thing.. I expect it to be VR focused like hell.

 

Valve puts the crate before the game.

There isn't enough profit in a single player game for them to even justify doing one anymore.

 

Valve make alot of money selling games made by other people, so i doubt that game development is high on their priority list.
