    Hi,

I was planing to upgrade from 960 to 1060 card but I found many on the internet complaining about the stuttering dpc latency problem and I also read the hostfix released by nvidia does not completely fixed this problem so should I buy this card in the hope nvidia will completely fix this problem or not ?

You should be fine regarding DPC Latency.

From what i know it's fixed. If you're hesitant to go for a 1060 go with the rx 480.

The DPC latency problem is not fixed, so be aware of that, there are a lot of mixed reports and I can prove it too, I have that dpc latency....

I have zero latency issues, and I've ran multiple programs. Is it just the 1060 then I suppose? Everything is fine on this rig.

The problem was reported with the entire pascal line, you are the lucky one who dont have the problem, many people update to the beta driver and fixed the problem, but there are other ones like me who still have the problem even with the latest nvidia driver

Isn't the latest driver missing the hotfix for latency?

    No stuttering here.

This issue has been fixed especially for me with the new driver.

If the issue is fixed and you need an upgrade i dont see why would you skip Pascal. From 460 to 1060 difference will be absolutely huge.

If not, there is always a rx470/480 as a counterpart.

For me it has reduced (frequency) with the latest beta driver, but it's still there.

Latency Monitor will eventually show a massive spike coming from NVIDIA drivers, just takes longer.

I'd take the DPC latency issues with a grain of salt, I'm running SLI which isn't even fixed yet and despite huge spikes being reported by LatencyMon I don't actually experience any sort of issue. Games run perfectly well and any sort of multimedia content plays back perfectly fine, even 1080p video scaled up to 4K using madvr with NNEDI and ~70% GPU load. I would never have known I "have latency issues" if not for reading about it.
