Yeah I posted a link for this several pages back. It really is an amazing piece of software with absolutely breathtaking views. I have to say though that there is nothing 'poor man' about it. It stands brilliantly in its own right! Spoiler
I was able to refund Fallout4 after playing it for 3.5hours on Steam, so 2 hours doesnt seem to be set in stone. Or i was just lucky. When asked for the refund reason i chose 'the game is boring'. Back on topic - i won't buy this game until i see ppl are still hooked on it in a month or so. I suspect the content of NMS is not enough to really entertain you longer than a couple of hours.
I suspect it will depend on your mindset and gaming logic. If you like a game to "play you", so to speak, and have a set story and set scenarios that guide you to the end then I'd say you will get bored quickly. However if you like a bit of roleplay and RPG elements and like to "play your way" without restrictions and the game "pushing" you in a certain direction then you are more likely to get immersed and enjoy the game. I am personally looking forward to a game with no set story and you start not even knowing what you look like with and entire galaxy to expore how you want....pretty excited tbh
You can watch gameplay on pornhub lol, guy on reddit bought a copy for 1300 dollars early. Posted videos all over all got taken down but pornhub. He also has a review on reddit.
I think so yes. Fun for the explorers but since there is an endless amount of planets and the chance of you meeting somebody else is minimal, I'm not sure how long ppl can actually keep playing the game. Haha, seriously?

I was trying so hard not to look at any leaked footage or even coming here to this thread because you guys would obviously be sharing leaked information..... but... just couldn't help myself haha.. It's not released yet, footage so far is from leaked ps4 copies. *edit* Looks like the douche that finished the game in 30 hours was playing on a test build used to showcase the game, not the final gold build we will be getting.
Are you a member for the ethical treatment of rocks? because I will brutally murder those rocks and there is nothing you or anyone can do about it... although the sentinels might try to kill me... but it's ok because I will kill them too... so don't fret dear brethren I will put the rocks out of their misery swiftly. Rumor has it that members of the ethical treatment of rocks actually kill more rocks than normal people... such double standards..
Hold on there fella rocks are people too and the sooner we all come to accept that the sooner we can move on to living in harmony on this, or for that matter any other world. But on a serious note you have to admit that a fair amount of that video was the player spending time shooting rocks, though I will admit the moving 'plant' was quite unusual just a shame that his interaction with it involved.... yup you guessed it shooting more rocks.
Watch them. All you're seeing are guys walking around, shooting rocks. Over and over. Not really much to spoil.
