Free games are always good, In order to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Ubisoft is offering PC gamers seven digital games (from June to December) free of charge. ... Grab The first Splinter Cell game for free
Ah the good-old days when games were 2.36 Gb sigh! Thank you for pointing this out Downloading now..... I am wondering how its going to look cause its such an old game,I remember playing this on the original (xbox) when it 1st came out lol. My favirot splinter cells where. 1) Splinter cell conviction 2) Splinter cell Blacklist Anyone saying Blacklist wasnt a hit in the series is NOT a true fan sorry.
Blacklist wasnt very good. The story was too choppy because of the mission selections. Conviction was fun but was too easy with auto fire. Double agent was by far the best as it made you use your gadgets against formidable a.i. whilst trying to do 2 missions at once. Anything prior to that was also good.
Ha. I remember people complaining and throwing a fit when games started being 2gb or so. Same as the "ungodly" development of games hitting that 10gb size... The first Splinter Cell still looks pretty good. Models are a bit blockier then now (of course), but with a little tweaking it works great and looks solid thinks to great lighting design. BUT... if we're going to rank the series... 1. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory 2. Splinter Cell 3. Splinter Cell: Conviction 4. Splinter Cell: Blacklist 5. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow 6. Splinter Cell: Double Agent Pandora Tomorrow is so far down simply because it's a pain in the ass to get a hold of now. But, Chaos Theory is the best entry in the series. Everything about it is better then every other entry. Conviction I really liked. I enjoyed the presentation, the story... and the "interrogation" scenes. But, yeah, it was simplified from previous entries. Blacklist is a damn good entry. A mix of elements from Conviction and earlier titles like Chaos Theory. But, the recasting of voice actors, and the redesign to the faces of basically every character... Just seemed really odd considering it's a direct sequel to the events of Conviction. Yet, Sam looks and sounds younger now. And Double Agent... yeah... that just. It's not a "bad" game, but it's got some issues. Both in story, gameplay... and from a technical standpoint.
Cheers, can't wait to give this a go, i think i only every played this on the original xbox, so i wonder if my 970 will be enough to run it, fingers crossed.
Hell, yeah! It was such amazing, revolutionary game. I still like it, my favorite game in series is Chaos Theory. Didn't like Conviction and Blacklist. Btw: People seems to forget that there were two totally different versions of Double Agent: -One was released on PC, WII, PS3 and XBOX 360 -The other one was released on XBOX, GameCube and PS2 which was much, much better imo
It was one of the games that hooked me up with PC gaming. Played the series up until conviction. When blacklist came out I've lost interest in PC gaming.
