    From DSOG comments section:
    http://www.dsogaming.com/news/rise-tomb-raider-new-patch-adds-dx12-multi-gpu-async-compute-support/

    User Darkchazz
    GTX 1080 @ 2025/5000
    i7 3770K @ 4.4 GHz
    1080p, SMAA, "Very High" graphics preset unchanged.

    Mountain peak:
    dx11 = 154.21 fps
    dx12 = 162.34 fps

    Syria
    dx11 = 109.13 fps
    dx12 = 124.97 fps

    Geothermal Valley
    dx11 = 107.40 fps
    dx12 = 124.07 fps

    This new patch has clearly improved dx12 performance

    I think the built in benchmark is inconsistent. I've seen my FPS change a lot by running it multiple times.

    Also, it seems the new patch with Async on both AMD and NVidia Pascal are showing consistent lower minimal FPS. So either the devs have more to do or Async in real-world games is not this magical thing AMD and AMD fanboy's want you to think.

    I also don't trust the minimum at all in that benchmark it feels like they get the minimum from the very first second of each scene, because I never actually see or feel that minimum.

    Can someone make benchmarks with async on and off please ??

    you can change it in the registry

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Crystal Dynamics\Rise of the Tomb Raider\Graphics

    1 = on , 0 = off

    I wonder if this is because its an nvidia sponsored game (gameworks) or Pascal really got benefits from the patch

    Same issue here, i have dual 290's and tried different drivers and profile does not work for DX 12. Works under dx 11 though. Now we wait for AMD to release a compatible driver.

    The devs recommends 16.6.1 driver but still not working .... always AMD comes late for the party :bang:

    Yeah, The Game looks fantastic, feels like being part of a movie, there's a huge work on Camera positionning, and level design is fantastic.

    Apart from benchmarks that are heavily dependent on the vsync selection, the game is unplayable on 4K on my rig on DX12. it is smooth as silk, maxing out the monitor refresh rate of 60 fps on DX11.
