I hope you both know that Anvato same as Xsplit, OBS, Twitch and YouTube just with out the Video Encoding, Cloud Editing, Ad Insertion, Subscriptions Anvato Media Content Platform for Programmers / Broadcasters / Live Event Producers which is turnkey solution that dose all this stuff Live Streaming, Live to VOD, Video Encoding, Cloud Editing, Syndication, Ad Insertion, Subscriptions, Players, Reporting and host other things
Why do negative?! Google is not known as a company who buys and destroys other businesses (contrasted to Microsoft). Surely, they have an idea, how to use this company's IP, but it is not bad. 2GB is required not because of bloatware, but because the more potent OS is, the more it requires. You are not using useless gui-less linux, you know.

Google is not doing open source for their mother's soul. They used open source to get where they are. All of their actual ecosystem (see, Google Play services) is closed source. The search engine is closed source. They open source either what they can't have closed (Android IS a fork of the Linux kernel, their Java API had to be open), or whatever opens a new market for them (see the Chromium project). The "do no evil" days are long past.
Really have ever heard SageTV? which is now Google Fiber TV PVR Recorder and it was Open Source and so where min apps made Google or bought was also released
That's right, the days of google being the good guy is long gone, they are a company that is out to make money (which is normal). They used to be the good guys but now they are just dishonest, they try to keep their company image nice with their stupid hipster culture but that is just a face that they want to show the mass. Google is just as evil as facebook and Microsoft but they've got great PR. One of the things that really irks me is that they happens to be one of the biggest early investors of Uber which don't even get me started on how evil that garbage company is.
Nothing of importance to Google, that could be closed source, is open source. Google Play Services and their engine being the actually important thing, and not the myriad side projects.
