Yes, we were surprised that the only hyped part that was true was the cheap price.

The price is good in the context of overpriced high-ends, I remember I payed much less for a 5850 and here it costs how much a reference 5870 costed early 2010 considering Nvidia was still working on Fermi and DX11 in those days.

    Add us please D:

    http://www.bitsandchips.it/9-hardware/7184-amd-radeon-rx-480-8gb

It will be translated into English ASAP (they all doing it in the free time).

As for prices, we explicit asked EMEA the suggested prices in the Italian market: 220€ for 4GB model, 262 € for 8GB model. Some sites have lower stocks and increased the prices for pre-orders. That's all.
I guess the prices are similar in the rest of EU-11 (EU12 without Brexit lol).
We may receive a custom AIB model in the near future

Meanwhile, I am not sure how much noted this:

Old EU-12 countries without UK (Euro currency countries only). Usually on those countries the prices do not vary to much from one to another.

Does this mean people are going to start calling this card Poliji, like Paxwell?

Does anyone know if any sites did Tessmark, or Hairworks On/Off testing with the RX480? Curious to see how their new tessellation performance is.

Does Conservative Rasterization have some usefull application until now? XD
Anyway I'm surprised, AMD it's always the first partner to adopt all the newest specification.

It's "BETTERED" but not by so much, at least the witcher and other heavy geometry games do not perform much better than 390. XD

Nvidia uses it for their Ray Tracing techniques, notably HFTS in The Division, which I personally think looks really good -- although it does come with a very large performance impact.

    Interesting article

Thank you, so maybe they use that also for VXGI global illumination that uses Voxelization and Raytrace

PCSS looks really similar if you do not see the little detail and cost a lot less: Quality/performance wise it's the best option!

wow raja's comment about scaling multi-gpu is mindblowing. Basicly he says if it already does run smooth it wont need support. its not about performance for them.

Adored actually tested witcher 3 with hairworks on... But well vs 980ti, 1080 and 285 and 750ti cause that was all he had. Seemed to work well tho.

Lol. Also when GTX 1060 comes out it will offer superior performance per watt. Performance wise AMD set the bar pretty low and I have a feeling that NVIDIA can easily match it. I hope this will force NVIDIA to do aggressive pricing (that being said RX 480 costs way too much here in Finland).

I started to wonder. Will Vega bring more improvements over Polaris since it seems to be it's own thing kind of like maxwell and then vega is the pascal so to speak.
