the drivers gasolina are using are funky.

one of the guys from bits and chips said they arent the press drivers.

i gave a guy on OCN a link to them, well see what he gives ups.

Is good overclocking at stock voltage 5%? Because 1330 is 5%.

Either way, performance seems decent, but 390X performed relatively well in that game (Batman), I want to see bench where GCN did badly, like tomb raider. That should be WAY better than 390x

    Cheers,

    Source ?

GPU-Z is reporting 163W, not that GPU-Z is accurate.

Sadly no, I grabbed this from polish forum and they didn't post any scans.

How is it even possible for it to be slower than the GTX 970 even if it's an overclocked one? Makes zero sense. Do you know which driver the magazine used for those tests?

Nope but it makes perfect sense. Card is faster than stock 970 but slower than factory oc'd one. It's pretty much the ballpark AMD aimed for (R9 390).

390 was a very conservative estimate, as that would mean zero shader efficiency improvement. The R9 390 has 2560 shaders running at 1000Mhz, while the RX 480 has 2304 running at 1266Mhz. That means the RX 480 should be at least 15% faster than the R9 390 at stock. Something is definitely wrong here.

I don't know, maybe there is no improvement and AMD lied :eyes:

I just guessed 390 perf, depending on the game it's better or worse than stc 970, we'll see tomorrow.

It's the real deal, it's early because they always release at 28.

Could be they had to rush the review and did it without the official NDA driver? We'll know for sure tomorrow, but this is not going to be pretty if it is real. :puke2:
