Just noticed that AB doesn't seem to give me any higher vCore on my 980 after +35mV

1256mV is the most AB ever shows it's giving, even if I go from +35mV > +87mV while running GPUz render test, it still shows 1256mV

PL & TL maxed, and increasing Core clock doesn't affect vCore either

    Have I missed a trick?

That's normal and how the bios is setup (voltage table).
On my 970 stock voltage =1.218v , then next step is 1.243 (20mv+ offset), then max of 1.262 (40mv+ offset) .
Anymore and nothing will happen, again its how bios is set(max voltage of 1.262v).

So only a custom BIOS will bypass that restriction then I'm guessing

That's a bit sucky, was getting close to 1600MHz core if I'd had more vCore headroom, started artifacting at about 1558MHz

If you can get your VBIOS modded to give you 1.275 volts you should not have any problems getting past 1600 MHz. Once I got my voltage up there with the TDP unlocked to 150% I had no problems at all.

Unfortunately, yes. Which I find to be dumb, by the way. But I guess Nvidia is trying to protect us from ourselves.

Nice, not really wanting to go flashing BIOS's, would be nice, but it's my only GPU, and benefits do not outweigh the risks in this case

+87mV doesn't sound like something they need to protect us from lol

I have no specs of uP9511P yet to say for sure, but most likely they don't support I2C.

    @Unwinder:

Can you please add EpicGamesLauncher.exe to the profile list in RTSS and set application detection level to none for the new version of AB? Thanks.

Hi, I see that with AB 4.3.0 beta 4 and with the new feature for Tonga of unofficial OCing mode without PowerPlay support, the OCed clocks are fixed, but I see with HWinfo64 that vddc is going up to 1.208v, and vddci up to 1.181v (and it is the max even if you increase core mhz or core voltage, when without unofficial mode is going up to 1.15v) automatically when core is OCed to 1.100mhz. Do you think that 1.18v for vddci is safe?.

Other thing I see is that I need 1.208v vddc to be stable with 1100mhz core clock and with unofficial OCing mode without PowerPlay support, but I need 1.181v vddc without unofficial mode. What’s happening here?, is official mode using some kind of boost-like OC?.

Good news, I just finished initial implementation of DX12 support in RTSS (currently overlay only, no DX12 videorecording yet). So we'll start closed beta-testing of RTSS 6.5.0 with our private testers soon.
Also my RX480 card just arrived so I'll start working on new AMD GPUs support next week.

    Hi Unwinder,
    How are you doing ?
I've seen some recent screenshots around where some french items were not translated from English.

I Could add those translations if you like.

Let me know if I can find out quickly what the missing translations are.

    Kind Regards,
    xixou
