But it´s like the worst mid-range ever compared to the high end :3eyes:

    gtx470>480 20%
    gtx570>580 20%
    gtx670>680 10%
    gtx770>780ti 35%
    gtx970>980ti 50%
    gtx1070>1080 20%---1080>1080ti>50%----- gtx1070>1080ti: 70% .

Well you can see they have been adding a 15% performance deficit vs the high end, except for the 670. 65% isn´t far off. I don´t want a burr of the Volta chip when I upgrade lol.

1070 is first x70 card that cannot be overclock to x80 card level.
GTX470 can be OC to match stock GTX480
    Same with GTX570/580
670 was best-aftermarket GTX670 have same performance as stock GTX680.And after OC 670 was 10-15% faster than stock GTX680
970 after oc to 1500/8000 match stock GTX980

But 1070 cant do that.Even after OC to 2050Mhz/9Ghz its still 15% slower than stock GTX1080.

So yeah its worst x70 ever made.

Seeing how much faster the 1080 is just makes me want it more regardless of price. (cant afford any of them)

Depens on their power I suppose. They have to keep an eye on the RX480.

I think the performance gap will be the same for 1080 and 1080 ti , even overclocked the 1080 won't reach Ti stock levels. Even more so , overclocking the 1080ti will yield better performance gains than the 1080/ 1070 , per mhz.

I can see it now how Nvidia will adverise the Ti as a 4k ready card.

Yea man, i don't play any game atm that's very demanding.

If i waited too long, they'll have not much value when the 1070 comes out.

I borrowed my friends 660 Ti, wich can run Overwatch butter smooth wich is the only game i play right now.

I'll be upgrading most of my system in the coming month, 16gb ddr4, i5 6600k etc.
As my financial issues are taken care off, i can spend alot on my rig again.

Yeah for 2 years i was in a financial disaster, it's taken care off as of this month, then i can spend money again.

I've been buying/selling stuff to get the system i have right now, with 60 euro's a week i did pretty good if i say so myself. :D

It's a perfect time for upgrading to a 1070 this month, as i get additional vacation money wich i put towards the 1070 else i would not make it.

You are both from NL you know the prices of 1080. I have similiar prices here.

He probably dosnt want to spend 750€ on a gpu. He also said hes planing a new CPU/MB/Ram so 1070 + new system is a better idea.

Yeah the asus strixx is very high priced over here in the netherlands I have seen that they ask 899 euro at alternate for it crazy in my opinion. I have pre orderd directly from EVGA and pay 777 Euro for the GTX 1080 FTW. I find that a fair price :)
