    +1 with that opinion.

I see this as a step towards the 120Hz 4k displays .. can't wait to see those pop up!

Well, 240 fps is possible with HD quality.

With 60 more hz, I can only image tryhard CS:GO player saying, "lul my monitor refresh rate higher than game default unlimited fps (300). literally ded geam, Volvo fix plz".

Asus already have a 4K 144Hz prototype TN panel. :)

i guess 240 Hz is truly an over kill, although it dose look kinda cool, PG248Q is more appalling for the old school people who would settle for a 23"-24" display if it's ranged in a right price segment, and can't tell the deference between HD, UHD and 4K on a 23" display

The 40" LED TV have more input lag, doesn't have the real high refresh rate but yeah I agree Rog monitors is to expensive when you might be able to get cheaper monitors that's almost the same for cheaper.

Correct ... TV .. not gaming monitor. There is a difference.

I'm pretty sure i won't afford one when they will bring it to the market (also because the Romanian market lacks the capability to bring new stuff fast).

But at some point ... waiting for this to happen so i can upgrade!

Fun fact, Sony had 240Hz Playstation monitor years ago, even if in 3D mode.

bt .20.20 HDR is what interests me more than anything else on dp 1.3,1.4
The bandwidth from a dp1.4 that will run a 120htz 4k if using HDR will be slashed in half back down to 60 htz so we just end up back to where we was so we can use the new colour bt20.20
    Ironic

This has to be one of the ugliest monitors I've ever seen.

That monitor stand just... just doesn't work.

Fun fact, like all TV high refresh rates, those are extrapolated and not actual refresh rate.

The monitor is geared toward the competitive fps scene.

Most CS:GO pros play at sub 1080p resolution, they also play in extremely bright environments (at lans) and they don't have space for anything more than 24 inches in those environments, nor do they want it. When I played CS:GO I would switch back to my 24 inch BenQ TN monitor from my 27" XB270HU because it severely impacted my play.

This is good I always get headaches unless the refresh rate is a multiple of 60 so 240hz would make sense for me, I remember switching up my monitor to 144hz and even to this day I can't handle it, feels like my eyes are melting but if I set it back down to 120hz I have no issues whatsoever, I imagine 3D would be alot better at 240hz as well instead of 60 per eye you get 120 per eye.

    This. It's not for me.

I'm definitely not interested in a sub 27", sub 1440p monitor no matter the features.

My dream monitor would be a ~27-30" 1440p 144Hz+ IPS G-SYNC but, and especially without backlight bleed. I would have gone for one of those ASUS/Acer 27" ones if it wasn't for that.

nope, Sony is using native 200Hz LED panels for some years. Plasma Panels are different from LED Panels, Plasma TVs can go up to 2kHz nativ. THe disadvantage high power consumption of Plasma TVs.
