Anyone here play FFXIV that can test performance and crashes with this driver?

Crashes happen when changing resolutions or changing graphics settings. Many people have reported this with recent drivers.

There are massive FPS drops when looking at the blue glowing dungeon entrance portals. Its really noticeable with spell effects on boss fights too.

DX9 used to have similar issues with transparency effects, since the introduction of the DX11 client this wasn't an issue anymore. It seems the problem is back and effecting DX11 now as well. The only driver I can find that doesn't have this issue is 359.06 which is 5+ months old.

This driver is performing exactly the same as the previous whql driver, except that I've lost 5% performance in F1 2015 in the in-game benchmark. Same scores & fps as previous driver for: 3DMark11, Firestrike, Shadow of Mordor, Arkham Asylum, F1 2012, and Grid Autosport. Not tested with gameplay yet.

Just testet the new driver and compared it to the .19 driver in Doom and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

In Doom it gave me around 10 FPS boost compared to the already optimized Doom 365.19 driver. Compared the two drivers on set locations within the Kadingir Sanctum level.

It also gave a slight boost in Tomb Raider.

Please back up these claims with substantial data :)
But you are correct, there is a nice boost in performance especially at 4K in DOOM:

Meanwhile I saw zero change in my 3DMark score by upgrading.

    You're doing something wrong.

Sounds good, gonna try 'em myself.

Come on man, that's easily within margin of error ;)

the driver handling power delivery little bit differently or a framedrop during benchmarks etc.

Besides the other obvious changes, I also notice there's one less nvvsvc.exe service loaded in memory now.

    New control power option:
    - NV Optimal
    - Adaptable
    - Maximum

    ¿Best?

    Thank´s

I tried Optimal vs Maximum Performance on F1 2015 benchmark & received exactly the same average fps. (I wanted to check if that was related to the 5% loss in frame rates I've seen in F1 2015 - the power settings had no effect). I just list all my games at Maximum Performance in the NVidia Control Panel, but it's probably unnecessary, I don't think those settings have an affect - if your card is being pushed to the limits by the game then it'll just be at max clocks regardless of the setting. If you're at say 50% GPU usage in a game and you've chosen Adaptable, then it's possible the card will lower it's clocks, but if choosing Maximum Performance then the card will retain maximum clocks regardless of GPU usage.

If I run anything in 3d mark twice consecutively and don't get a swing of 300-500 points, I am unsure whether to be pleased or worried.

IMO, those scores are within a margin of error. Now if they were 1,000 or more less, then I would say something is up.

Well, actually it's with my top overclock, i adjusted my previous BIOS according to previous drivers. And my result were consistently better than what i had with the new driver.

I won't actually rollback but i need to adjust my BIOS again accordingly.

You do realize that this is nitpicking over a 0,2 - 0,8% difference?

Tested Hitman DX11/DX12, FCPrimal, GearsUE, RotTR DX11/DX12. Zero changes in performance. Looks like NV is gimping AMD fanboys mostly.
