AMD Will Showcase Latest Technology During Computex 2016

Do 'showcase' and 'presentation' mean they are going to show Polaris, or will they soft launch it too (shortly after)?

 

I think the launch will be 2 weeks after at E3

 

What I'm hearing is "Close to the 1070 but a lot cheaper". So let's call that a prediction. Also hearing it has a boost clock.

 

Last time I remember amd crushing nvidia was with the 9000 series cards vs nvidia fx and they brought that tech off another company lol crushed indeed

I have doubt that AMD crush Nvidia that not gonna happen.I am hearing this with every new series AMD launch.AMD is fail in both cpu and gpu specially in cpu.Dont know how weak AMD's engineer that they cant beat in any segment.RIP AMD

Hopefully. If the leaked specs are accurate and the card is indeed $300, two in xfire will be pretty strong, better than 1080. That could lead to price drops. The FE edition cards are way to expensive for what they are.

 

A bold prediction. But dont count on it because the 10 based cards are going to be serious competition for AMD. In order for AMD to take down Nvidia like you are predicting they would have to come up with a card that uses less wattage, produces less heat, and be very overclockable like the 900 series cards is now, and finally cost alot less than the Nvidia card plus be more powerful than the Titan X by a pretty good margin. I only see the price point the only thing that AMD can compete with at this point. However I can see AMD proving me wrong and make a huge turnaround.

technically speaking he is correct polaris has 2 GPUs polaris pro and polaris xt.
1070 specs:
1920 cuda cores
8gb gddr5
1600mhz boost

polaris pro:
2300sp
8gb ddr5
1300mhz stock clocks

verdict 1070 destroyed.

pascal is rushed because nvidia are scared my prediction and will claim back at least 10-15 percent market share especially after they launch Polaris after pascal since nvidia will he caught pants down and already their performance is already tapped out with drivers from the get go.

 

Mind you that there is 2 more Pascal cards coming out in a couple of months the 1080 ti and the Titan X replacement. Also there is overclocking of the 1070 and 1080 to get more performance. Also I doubt that AMD is going to release a card that is very overclockable just like the 900 series is. Also how do you know that 1070 and 1080s performance is tapped out? There is a very good possibility that Nvidia will squeeze more performance out of the 1070 and 1080s. Finally the cards are not even released yet.

 

So with that logic my 2816 cores 980Ti will destroy the GTX 1070 with its puny, shamelessly low 1920 cuda cores?

Don't get me wrong, my reply to the other user was merely for entertaining purposes but his statement was quite bold, especially considering all we know so far for the new GPU's performance sans GTX 1080, is all but based on rumors/speculations.

I'm honestly cheering for AMD on both CPU/GPU departments to do well. We need them.

If AMD can match Nvidia at a lower price, I'm buying maybe. My wallet holds no preference. :thumbup:

Your 980Ti @ 1580 is a tiny bit faster than a 1080 @ 1733, so I wouldn't really worry if I were you

Nah, gaming clocks are 1550-1560Mhz. So I would guess its about close to stock GTX 1080 perf. lol

I would love to get my hands on a 2GHz+ gpu tbh! :thumbup:
