Let's see if I can finally disable CF in Skype/Firefox/etc. I don't have high hopes, though.

Just a heads up... Installing this driver locked my fan speed at 40% on MSI Afterburner when I restarted, I had to reconfigure my fan speeds...

Well, as I expected, the issue has not been fixed. Creating a profile for apps like Skype that wake the second card from ULPS sleep for no reason, and setting CF to disabled still doesn't do anything and the second card still turns on.
For games that have visual bugs due to CF-incompatibility, like XCOM - Enemy Unknown in which the cover indicator disappears in a CF-enabled setup and cannot be fixed without disabling CF globally, again the issue cannot be bypassed by creating a profile for the game and setting CF to disabled. I am not really sure what they think they have fixed in this driver because as far as I can see, CF-disabling behavior is exactly as broken as it was before. I am going to report this again.

This has always been the case since the first Crimson driver. When the driver is reset during update, the "Auto" option in AfterBurner turns off on its own after you either manually reset Afterburner or reboot the system. The exact same thing happens when you enable/disable CF globally which resets the driver. The only workaround is to close Afterburner, perform the operation that resets the driver, and then reopen Afterburner.

In Rise of the Tomb Raider it causes some flickering in DX11, and on DX12 it just stutters every 8 seconds or so...it wasnt present on 16.4.1 nor 16.3.1

Nice the Freesync is working with DX12 game at least for RoTTR and AoTS but hitman isn't able to use Freesync as the Exclusive Fullscreen is greyed out.

One have to wonder if the driverteam even have any amd hardware to test it on.... But hey, they did fix what the customers was complaining about though. Nobody complained about low scaling :) Guess we have to wait another month or so to run it with crossfire without flicker and improved scaling. The question is, what other problems will they implement to pay for the fix? :)

    I gotta ask:
    Does anyone even use that?
It's the first thing I uncheck when I install a driver.

Have you actually gotten anything free worth it? The recording setup is actually using the GPU, right? Does it impact performance?

    yup, free games.

    won a couple drawings...

It has pracly no overhead, so i barely notice its there most of the time.

The records is actually very good, it uses the GPU hardware...

It takes a bit of fiddling, but when it works, it works well.

Has built in "shadowplay" as well.

Yep, I uncheck it as well. No use for it myself but I can see why some would want it.

I'm using it for recording too, quality is far superior to nV shadowplay and it has almost no overhead.

Best quality (lossless) with 0 GPU/CPU overhead is Bandicam YUV-12 recording.

The one and only disadvantage is you get 12 GiB/min files. Which you would encode afterwards of course.
