The worst-performing game (ported to consoles) Digital Foundry has ever tested...

  1. Oh my eyes, my beautiful eyes, that framerate burns! :D Although, the consoles are both getting a true 1080p image according to the video. Whether they can run at that resolution with all graphic settings is another story.

Speaking of which, lowering the resolution could have been an easy way to grab some FPS. It' unplayable at 12FPS damn it ! :puke2:

Such a middle finger to console customers tho...

x86 makes it easy to port from PC to Console and vice versa, to think I believed that ;)

From what i recall they use 2 to 3 pics and 1 blur pic for films. Or sometinhg like that. It's been awhile but that is why your TV looks ok at 23 fps back in the day, also helped that you usually sat 10 feet plus away from it.

Anyone played this ? It seems that PC version look OK and runs well and I have been looking for something to play... 37€ at Steam. Metacritic reviews are mixed, but it does not seem horrible.

If you really want this game on PC, buy this bundle for £2.29 - it's included along with 9 other games.

    It's more laggy.:)

Even whilst stoned it would just increase the effect..

Seriously, I couldn't go through 60 seconds of the video. The amount of lag and hitching was very bad.

Around 30 or so FPS is playable/watchable but when it gets below 25 and 20, you really feel the pain...

Even the 24hz Crysis bug was BAD.......

Dude 15fps... I mean 30fps is cinematic, but 15fps it totally whole new level.
You literally double the cinematic experience.

Don't you get it? You gonna feel each frame... Nah we PC scrabs are decades behind true gaming experience.

though all i really play are syrategy and moba, sometimes the gameplay is so crazy that there is no time to whine about the crappy PC and crap FPS, because all that matters is what we experience, and some moba and strategy games can do that , ver well actually

Most Dota2 pros can't go back to 60hz after practicing with 144hz panels.
I guess their main issue going back to 60hz is choppy animation, making it harder to track cursor and land last hits and denies.

I got Crossover2795 and switched from 1080 to 1440 resolution and 96hz. Took me a while to get used to it and adjust cursor size, but once I got used to 1440, there no way I am going back to 60hz.

one question, why do many players disable shadows? in mobas like dota 2 , does it actually help reduce spikes and animation latencies?

In general, competition and general use are going in different direction graphic wise, and it's like that in every video game.

If you're playing competition, you get rid of all the eye-candy to focus on your performance. The simpler is the screen, the less information your brain has to process and you can focus on your performance.

Coz shadows are a frame rate killer...

Remember that old game called ''F.E.A.R'' that had crazy looking shadows? Using them to the max had a huge impact on frame rate and you needed a decent card to use them along with other eye candy at a decent frame rate...
