    Prior to Fallout 4 I was never really into the series but I am now a Hard-core fallout fan thanks to this game! Hell I even downloaded the pip-boy app companion for my ipod haha.38 years old and I feel like iam 16 again.

    Been messing around with consoul commands last couple of days lots of interesting stuff to say the least.

    Other then Nexus is there any (worthy) add-ons for the game? Thanks guys.Nz

    Go nuts.

    Pretty much modded the hell out of my game. Latey settlement mods because i wanted to build a nice hq for myself, ran into the cap plus hight build limit so modded, new windows, walls, etc. But got weapon mods like the scar rifle etc because the in game guns look boring as hell outside the gauss rifles.

    Fallout 4 script extender of course. The number 1 top mod AWKCR is required by a ton of mods so that is a must. Other than that look around can go by categories if you are looking for mods in a specific area etc.

    These are the mods i consider basic:

    - FPS dynamic shadows

    - Fallout configuration tool (tool)

    - Lowered weapon

    - Full dialogue interface

    - Improved map with visible roads

    - Darker nights

    - Enhanced blood texture

    Possible to post a link for the configuration tool?

    I will sign-up for Nexus mods in the next few days, they seem to have the best visuals mods ( opinion ) :)

    I tried the FPS dynamic shadows mod but i find that it takes away shadows from closer up for me for some reason Even thought on the medium shadow distance setting it doesn't take away those closer mid range shadows when in a location that doesn't need shadow reduction because of FPS reduction.

    Example: I set it to have

    fShadowDrawDistMin=3000.0 (which is the stock medium setting i use and its runs perfect)
    fShadowDrawDistMax=6000.0

    I get the double distance of the long range shadows which is nice, but when looking at shadows from a few meters away the shadows are appearing and disappearing right before my eyes. Like a generator in my settlement will lose its shadow from like 10 feet away. Similar things happen with chem stations and basically most shadows.

    I don't know why i get this or why no one else is reporting it.

    Same thing happened with me when I tried that mod. I just play with shadow distance set to medium. Sure, it isn't the greatest but at least fps stays above 60 in all places.

    Does the new DLC improve performance?

    Does it add decent amount of new items for building? Guess you are right, its worth waiting for a proper story driven DLC before re-playing it

    Would be cool if you take photos/screenshots and then use it as framed photos at your settlement! There must be mod like this! Looks like its better use mods for extra items rather than this DLC

    Yeah it's very light on content. The only reason you would want to build those cages is to get the achievements. I like the decontamination arch as it removes all rads but that's about it.

    Problem is it adds stuff a lot of mods already put into the game for settlements. i got like 3 mods that are for settlement building.

    Only thing it really adds that is new is the animal, people cages, and the arena stuff which seems to be buggy and makes your settlers hate you, or they kill each other.

    Maybe traps but i think there are traps in the one mod i use already.

    Snap and build is a great mod adds some really awsome stuff built me a HQ with it and settler houses for the new stuff i build.

    If you are really into building settlements and your not using mods hey 5 bucks why not, but if your using mods there is no real reason to bother less the few things it adds would really interest you.

    And if your not into the settlement stuff well you would be insane to buy it.

    because you also need to change this in Fallout4Prefs.ini

    fBlendSplitDirShadow=1024.0000

    change from whatever the default value to 1024.0000

    I bought the wasteland workshop yesterday having a little-bit of fun with that, I really want the Automatron Dlc, Afterwards I think I will install Nexus mods for stuff like real storms, make it look darker ect.....I am loving it for sure!
