When first gameplay was out (last year) they said game is running poorly even on 980 they tested and now fx 8350 and gtx770 can max it out? Hah, even Absolution cant be max it out with those specs.

And i love how they put R9 290 with gtx770 side by side even if Radeon beats it by something like 40% in every game. GG, nvidia.

But recommended requirements doesn't mean you can play it maxed out.

BTW minimum of 8GB RAM will be propably changed, just like with Dying Light. It had 8GB minimum and 16GB recommended lol.

Why are the recommended requirements on these newer games always so BS.

Its always the GTX 770 vs 290 which are nowhere near close as recent benchmarks have stated, keplers is dead in the water and yet they still list it equal to a 290.

Its a disinformation that can only confuse people. For instance, that 2500k they listed in minimum is faster than FX chip they listen in recommended.

No FX chip can beat overclocked Sandy Bridge.

It was running poorly because it was leaked ALPHA.

i agree you can basically ignore this because its never correct , it will look like console graphics on lower settings and u will need a 980ti for max settings at 1080p and cmon why chop this game up in parts such a stupid idea

Instead of optimising games properly, they just raise requirements and still deliver crappy performance. :D

A crappy engine or even a good engine broken by the studio will produce lousy gameplay no matter the hardware. You'll just see measly usage percentages from both the CPU and GPU. Of course better hardware can compensate somewhat, but only so much.

DX12 should theoretically help with this by producing more results with less resources, but in reality it's starting to look like it could be even more challenging to put to perfect use, so doubtlessly studios will often botch it.

How else are they going to sell graphics cards? What do you think the real reason gameworks exists? (Nvidia can have their hands in tweaking specific variables like hair tesselation, resulting in unneeded lower performance, and more sales)

Those variables are tweaked by the developer, not Nvidia.

I'm pretty confident that they aren't factoring in overclocks for the minimum and recommended specs.

Just found out game is sponzored by AMD, so there is a good possibility of solid port.

Probably Tress Fx wont bring performance issues in this game

    I just recently had a GTX 770 and R9 280x.
The 280x walked the 770 quite a bit.

And the 770 oced as high as possible still didnt touch one of my 290s on stock clocks.

Wonder if this game will die because of eposodic gaming.
Hell half life 2 only made it through 2 episodes.

I am tired of mirco transitions. I just want full damn games and nice big expansions that are worth it.

I will wait until a complete edition is released, and if it's never released as a full game... jokes on them, my money will remain my money.

Those minimum CPU specs don't look right at all. Core i5-2500K 3,3GHz is likely faster than FX-8350 4,0GHz or at least really close even if the game makes decent use of all cores. Phenom II X4 940 is not even near Core i5-2500K.

It makes you wonder if they are even aware of what PC hardware is even capable of doesn't it.

Like... my previous CPU was a Phenom x4 955 with a slight overclock, and the Intel i7 920 at stock was slightly faster, at least to my understanding this was the case... just to give a bit of an idea for performance of the Phenom 955 which is close to the 940

Core i5-2500K is much more powerful than the Phenom II X4 940

A 3DFX could be the recommended specs for this game, i still would not touch it due to it's episodic nature. lol
