I quite like the start menu for Windows 10, so I have very much made that for all my game launching. :D

I made a tile for pretty much most my games I play, plus emulated games, and apps I use on a daily basis.

I'm using Panda Free and I like it. It's very fast and lightweight and doesn't come with a lot of extra unnecessary stuff like Avast does. If you install Panda, let it install the security toolbar and then later uninstall only the toolbar but leave the url filtering in place. The toolbar is made by Visicom and reports your browsing habits for advertising purposes. (They have to make money from the free version somehow) You don't get the url filters (phishing protection) unless you first install it though.

I really liked Bitdefender Free but, it's not compatible with Windows 10 and they are not going to fix it. They have promised a new free version but have given no timeframe for it's release.

    I haven't run into a single game that won't run on Win10.

But, games like Blood II and Shogo, games that I could get working on Win7... but after tweaking and messing around. And they would still crash every now and then.

Played Blood II from start to finish on Win10 with zero issues. Same with Shogo.

    Original Crysis?

I can't even get that to run on 8.1

Yep, I tried for days, all number of different suggestions from people

I think in the end we narrowed it down to whatever protection it uses not being compatible, but using the removal tool still didn't work

I managed to get it to run once for a few minutes by using a 64bit crack (Genuine game), but it crashed fairly soon after and never started again

Wasted far too much time trying to get it working so gave up

No problems. Have it installed right now.
Didn't do anything, just downloaded it through Origin, installed it, updated it... and it ran.

Wonder why it hates my machine then, I've got it on Origin or one of the clients too, except I sent them my retail key and they added it, doubt that would make any difference

There are great variety of old games that wont work on Win 10, but most of them wont work on win 7 too. The difference is minimal, so use what is more suitable for you.

At this time W8.1 runs silky smooth with no issues across the board for me, so until W10 offers some reason to upgrade i will just stick with W8.1.

    I played Crysis 1 just fine on 8.1 x64, but I haven't tried it on W10.

if you're having issues, go to pcgamingwiki.com

This is like the first thing I do before playing a game.
