AMD Radeon Crimson Edition 15.12 December 17

I'm windows 8.1 and i have Intel CPU. The Bsod are not caused by AMD, i already solved this. But if i uninstall intel AHCI it keep the warnings at Windows event log while AMD GPU installed.

 

My believe is that AHCI only works well from scratch install with windows.

There are people that succesfully changed from ide to AHCI after install but it is a bit of an hassle

I don't now what your case is but personaly I use raid and never had problems

 

It would be nice to update profile before asking.

I dont think so, but i believe we will get it this month.

 

Anyone else having BSODs with Radeon Software 15.12 on Mobility Radeon GPUs? I had the "CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION" BSOD caused by amdkmpfd.sys driver so I reverted to Catalyst 15.11 beta UnifL from Leshcat + video driver from Catalyst 15.11.1, and the BSODs have stopped. I think I'll wait for a 16.10 build to see if it won't BSOD anymore.

The Stop Code name I got when computer BSODed was "CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION". Apparently, it's being caused by amdkmpfd.sys driver.

 

Finally tested these drivers, but had no video settings available. Adding the following registry key to UMD\DXVA made it work.

CCCNextVideoSettings_NA, REG_SZ, "0"

or if using binary

CCCNextVideoSettings_NA, REG_BINARY, 30 00

I had to reboot for it to take effect though.

 

too bad they are superseded by 16.1
