I just saw the article in the frontpage and before even reading the review I have to say this by the cover photo alone: That's absolutely one of the best looking graphics card I have ever seen. Props to the GB design team.
It doesn't matter how it performs. Just LOOK at that thing! :gape: I suppose the fact that it's great at gaming is kind of cool too. '
Looks great, both this and the MSI&Corsair one, too bad it's so limited and late. Not to mention that it would be really tricky to SLI 2 of these, especially if you already have something like a H100 on the CPU. Still, great cards.
GG Gigabyte. Fallout 4?Benchmark?Are you kidding me?:wanker: Wait for 5 patches and after that lets benchmark FO4.
While late, this/Fury X shown great interest in closed loop cooling for graphic cards. Next generations may have top of the line cards available with closed loop from the start.
Are you kidding me? Highest temp recorded on this card was 52C and while gaming sits @ roughly 45C and that running a high factory OC. Imagine what temps this would run at with Default clocks, i bet it wouldn't even hit 40C. That's pretty amazing when you think of the size and power draw of that huge GM200 GPU drawing nearly 300 watts. Bit late to the party but i imagine these cards are hard to source the top binned chips only. So they test say 100k GPUs and maybe only a few percentage will make the grade needed for a card like this beast. Very good review as always and wow on every aspect of that card from temps to Factory OC to Noise or lack of said noise, plus it looks great and will match any system build with ease colour wise. PS. Dear Gigabyte, can you please try to bring these great products to the market a bit earlier as i'm guessing most people will have already purchased a Ti a lot closer to launch and you'll be missing out on sales.
Look at the VR section at thermal vision. It lights up like a Chrismess tree. I wonder how long it will last. I heard and saw fired Gigabyte card - very often at VR section.
Great review HH and really nice looking/performing card, the only drawback I see is this: When summer comes + closed case + more hotter ambient air VRM section at that card will be even hotter and add OC into calculation: summer's gonna be a hell for those VRM's. It's a pity that VRM's is not a bit better cooled.
This Gigabyte WaterForce is 1°C higher than ROG Matrix (which is air-cooled) in the "Overclocking" tab. How is that possible? It should outperforms the Asus since it's water-cooled.
That chart is actually as you would expect it to be. I didn't consider that Firestrike gives the video card enough time to cool down between one test and the other, which is crearly shown in Afterburner's graph. So it's not a good indicator to be taken into account for temperatures comparison, my fault.
How did I miss this ? Now where do I get to part exchange my Windforces for Waterforces ? Though the tubing looks a little short. I'd have trouble where to mount the radiator of the middle card in my case.
