I'm planning to do incremental upgrades to my 6 year old build. The monitor will be used for both PC and PS4 gaming (xim4 setup!). For some reason I can't find a 23-24" IPS monitor that's at 1080p with a 144hz. They're all 27 inch at 1440p. I don't want a higher resolution as trying to run that at 144hz will probably require SLI/CrossFire. Thanks.
There are no 1080p 120Hz / 144Hz IPS monitors. It's twisted, I tell you. All the focus is on 1440p 144Hz IPS nowadays.
I can more or less confirm that as well. As of yet - at the moment 1080p 120/144Hz IPS does not exist. Well perhaps you may be able to find something, but you would need to do a lot of research in my opinion. I do also find it slightly strange that we have quite a few 1440p 144Hz/165Hz monitors and yet 0 of 1080p.
Nothing whatsoever. Not even Korean 1080p IPS monitors. There are no such panels in production anywhere it seems. Looks like it was a move of target to 1440p. They peddled TN panels for 1080p 120Hz / 144Hz until IPS was able to catch up with response times, then they abandoned 1080p altogether.
