So I'm getting a new card to replace my old 660ti and have seen a few options.

Only I'm a bit unsure what the best value for money is. To say is this card worth the extra £20?

Couple of questions I'm gonna need help with as well. Some of these cards are in the higher bracket but the specs look lower then a cheaper card. For example the 'boost clock is lower for the 4gig 960 then the 2gig 950. Am I worrying about nothing?

I've narrowed it down to these... (Edit: it's not letting me hyperlink for some reason. Or I've forgotten, it's been a while since I've used php. Sorry about that.

    GTX 950

    GTX 960

    GTX 960 turbo 2gig

    GTX 960 turbo 4gig

The last two look nice but they only have the one fan so I'm thinking maybe not.

Anyone got experience with these cards?

    Any and all help welcome.

    Thanks,
    Bee

Ignore the 950 slow Gpu I have read nvidia is going to drop 2gb 960 my advice would be to save more and get a better GPU

660ti to 960 4gb is very Small upgrade not worth it ( overclocked 660ti is almost a 960)
660ti to a 970 is an awesome upgrade (I went 660ti Sli to 970 and it was a really good upgrade)

Nvidia dropping 960 2gb is just an unsubstantiated rumor, though I would try stretch budget to a 970 if possible.

Nvidia 970 or AMD 390 should be your minimum upgrade. If you can't afford that, save until you can or check the second hand markets.

If those 4 were my only choice I would go with GTX 960 turbo 4gig

950 and 960 are money down the drain.
Get at least 970 or R390 to make it a worthy upgrade.

I would choose the 960 4gb for sure, you can play games with better graphics and FPS than PS4 at 1080p and you can always enjoy any game with nice "ultra textures" without any stutter.

If I'm going for a 970 it's gonna have to be eBay 2nd hand or wait for a price drop when the next series comes out... If the price even drops at all. It's at least double the price for a 70 and the 4gig 960 was the highest I'm willing to go and that was stretching it.

Might even be worth up grading the mobo & cpu for that price of that last 960... Been a while since I upgraded anything. It's been so long I don't even remember what's in the thing! I am planing to gradually replace parts. Slowly slowly.

Damn! This is what I was scared of... One simple upgrade turns into building a new machine!

With the high tdp of the 390 I would see what psu the op has first.

GTX 970 is miles better than 960. I would recommend that, although I have had issues with mine (basically DOA) but hopefully just me being unlucky. Think I will need to RMA.

    So inside I have i5 3330 & 16 gb ram.

The cheapest 970 is at least £100 more then my original bracket and I can't justify paying that much on a card right now so the 70 series isn't an option for the moment. If I go for a 970, then why not a 980? The upgrading cycle is never ending unfortunately. Sorry I should have said what the limit of my budget was.

Looking at ebay they're only going for a little cheaper, about £10-20. Not really much point.

If the 60's arn't worth it I'll just have to keep a close eye on ebay for a while to see any good offers coming up.

660ti is a good GPU the 950 is a downgrade a 960 is a very slight upgrade the only real upgrade from a 660ti is to a GTX970 if that's to much money.
my advice is to wait until the next gen when low/mid range are released then you will have better options

970 is almost double the performance of a 660ti
    960 is really 660 replacement not a 660ti NVidia should have released a 960ti

I see, so looking solely at the numbers of the series can be misleading.

Like I said I'll keep an eye on ebay while I wait... Though looking there I can get a better cpu within budget so that might be my upgrade for now.

Is there any word until the next series in card comes out?

Ignore GPU model numbers check out GPU specification and look at Guru3D reviews that will give you better info

I would be surprised if we get any new GPU,s before Feb. 2016

What CPU are you using Fill in your PC specs it will make it easier for people to help you.

I went from a 660 Ti which in my opinion is a Awsome card! To a gtx 770 the gains were pretty awsome also! You can possibly get a used Gtx 770 like I did or a used Gtx 780 better yet a 780 ti which I will be getting next week! ( cant wait )

I noticed about a 20 Fps jump on most games, some even 30+ going from 660 ti to 770. I wonder how much faster then 780 ti will be then my 770? My kid will be getting my refrence gtx 770 which will go into a a10 7870k her machine, I will have my 780 ti all to myself.

depending on you mainboard you could get another 660ti and go Sli I found that worked really well but not in everygame.

    a 780 or 780ti would be a nice upgrade from 660ti

660 ti sli is about tied with a Gtx 780 at Some games that have proper Sli support. Still a Fantastic Graphics set-up in my opinion.Espicaly if you can find the 3gb versions!

I bought my Gtx 660 ti from Micro center for $120 dollars, its a refurb from Nvidia directly, if they still had em in stock I would buy 2 more in a heartbeat to be honest with you.Thats alot of gpu power for the money spent.
