Would You Pay $80 Per Month For A 10Mb Internet Connection?

I am paying 10 pounds a month for 17Mbps ADSL, and 17.99 pounds for landline.

And I am soon upgrading to a 76Mbps/19Mbps package for 25 pounds a month with a 17.00 pounds line rental for altogether 42 pounds a month. Also I get the 50 pounds router for free with a low 25 pound activation fee, Virgin is about 50 and BT is about 30 for activation. The ISP is Zen. And it's unlimited :nerd:.

 

I already pay more than that & have a monthly quota...

 

Yeah, it sucks we have to pay such a high price for such a slow speed.

My brother has a 20mb internet connection and gets a MAXIMUM of 1.5-2mb/s download speed!!!

Well, if I were in your place, and if there is no other option, and IF I'd have the money, then yes I'd probably pay that... even though it's pretty damn insane.

Anyway, I pay ~$13 per month for this:

With Cablevision in New Jersey I pay $40 a month for 50/Mb gauranteed down and 25/Mb up. I've seen speeds as high as 100Mb/sec though so it's pretty damn good. I believe Optimum which is Cablevision was rated 2nd behind Google Fibre for price/performance though so....

 

I don't have any server near my city in speedtest, maybe the ping would be smaller then? Oh well.

Yes 1MB, its the best i can get.
Did i mention that only in EU we pay taxes for internet purchases 20-25% ?

 

I pay £48 this is what I get from Virgin Media

100Mb down 6mb up it is about to be upgraded for Free to 150Mb down 10mb up Unlimited usage
500mb Tivo Box with some SKY TV channels 116 channels in total
Phone Line rental
Free weekend phone calls

 

That is really expensive

I guess I am pretty lucky, for 10 euros I get 1000Mbps download in metro area, 200Mbps download international and 100Mbps upload.

Move to Romania, at least the Internet is cheap.

I cant use onedrive to keep sync my .xlsx files (20kb MAX)!! and the whole internet collapse in the whole city for 10 minutes till the upload is done!

Ive been in Romania! Amazing internet service! Loved it!

My average download speed is 650kb/s - Netflix? LOL!!!!!
Even youtube is lagging

 

I wonder how they can give it away for such a low price. And why it's so damn expensive in Germany and Austria as it seems.
