So, what do you guys think?

I have a Gigabyte GTX 770 3xWindforce OC for almost two years now, and I just bumped into a brand new identical card for sale in a local shop.

Just to put you guys in perspective, I live in Brazil, and a new GTX 970 costs US$ 470~500,00 here, a new GTX 980 costs at least US$ 650,00. Yeah, I know...

I feel it`s too late, for the price, to get a GTX 9xxx series here; It`s in the end of the life cycle.

In the other hand this other GTX 770 will cost me about US$ 300,00.

The only "cons" I can think of is the memory limitation (only 2Gb, but future DX12 games could use the two cards with 4Gb, but it`s too soon for that), and it`s being an older architecture card.

Should I get it or wait for Pascal?

Look for a cheap second hand GTX770, if possible. Otherwise, it's not worth it because of the small 2GB framebuffer like you mentioned. But I definitely wouldn't wait for DX12 games being able to allocate 4GB in SLI GTX770/2GB.

I looked it up for a second hand one, it`s only $50 bucks cheaper than this new one. but I don't feel comfortable about getting a second hand one anyways.

Usually I play at Full HD or 1440p with DSR, my monitor is IPS LED 23" full HD only. I'm not planning on getting a new monitor for now too.

Oh, and performance wise I score 12k on 3DMark 11 and 8k on 3DMark Fire Strike.

The card is OC`d 1267MHz @ core and 7760 mem. Full load it tops at 66c and does not down throttle.

I guess only 2Gb Vram is to much of a penalty in the SLi option. Oh well i wish i've had the 4Gb version of this card, back in the day it wasn't very popular.

Damn consoles, not long ago 2Gb Vram was plenty; even Metro Last Light, wich is a very nice looking game, does not use 2Gb of Vram @ 4K resolution.

But all this ported multiplatform games needs all that vram, without delivering better image quality.

Gtx 770 sli performance is on par i wanna say with a 780 ti- I think I read the article here on guru-3d? I have one as well and would NOT consider doing sli at this point in time, The train has already passed as they say lol.

But just to give you a ruff idea by me they cost $175 dollars refurb at Micro center, thats the same one I own with the Nvidia refrence cooler, this card has been a real work-hourse for me and has allowed me to max every game in my library-Pretty awsome card but now I am looking for a used 780 ti.I would not pay more then $150 dollars for a gtx 770, maybe even less.
