I'm using a GTX780 as my main GPU, would it be okay for me to pair it with a GT730 for PhysX processing purpose?

    Thanks in advance.:)

You can but it's probably slower than running PhysX on the GTX 780. The 730 isn't really fast enough to do PhysX.

Using an entry-level card for PhysX isn't generally advisable.... If you want a dedicated PhysX card, look at a GTX760 at minimum.

Does this kind of pairing gives you performance boost? Like i have a GTX770, and what if i get another GTX750Ti? How is this all going?

750gtx non ti is enough.. even 740gt is as long as you chose the one with gddr5 ~80 GB/s.. physix needs "fast" memory bandwidth..

Maybe. I haven't seen any tests with dedicated PhysX cards in a while. I remember back in the GTX480/580 days when people were running dedicated cards they actually got lower fps in most games.

Most of the time you need a pretty beefy card for Physx, somewhere in the 750(ti) range. And with the amount of games that support I wouldn't recommend it. I had a leftover 750Ti acting as one, threw it out of the windows after a few weeks, didn't matter much FPS wise (GTX 970). That freed up slot was better used by my 2nd 970 :D

what happens if I still use the GT 730 as PhysX card?
bad performance in PhysX game or there will be other problem...

The only issue is potential bottleneck in physx games.

    Your average performance will drop.
