Nvidia 355.98 WHQL Drivers

I had a green screen and sound freeze with this new driver right now while playing.

Need restat the PC and after this, no signal !! So i can´t do nothign right now.

GTX 970 G1 Gaming, and with the old driver everything was fine !!

work fine on a gtx950 and an SLI of GTX980 both on W10 x64...

But OK previous were fine too and previous too... and exept higher version number there is not much lol.

 

is it good or bad ? lol

 

bf4 seems to have better average frames in win10 build 10547 @ 1440p
i play mainly siege of shanghai drivers seem good

 

Not so bad I'm using 356.04 and i have same solid +3-4 minfps on different benchmarks vs 355.82 (skipped this whql)

 

trust me is good so far i believe is better than 347.25.

i saw some improvement during my game-play on fifa & nba.

for dota 2 really is engine issue + server.

Same GPU "GTX970 EXOC" Installed on Win 7 Ultimate 64bits, NO PROBLEMS at all.

 

Because I started getting errors within 10 minutes of playing a game on these drivers. Windows giving virtual memory low errors.

Others on the GeForce forum have reported the same issue.

better try 356.04 as this set is better than 355.98

Nice, glad to hear that it worked out for you in the end. It seems like Kaspersky is aware about this issue and are already on it so hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Usually there is no big problems with KIS on my system and this is most likely the biggest issue I've had in years (disregarding the time when I was playing around with alpha/beta versions of KIS a while ago, which obviously doesn't count).

 

How high is your OC during gaming?

 

I think you should consider all nvidia drivers as beta, even WHQL so they are not safer

 

If that's the case, what's the point with quality tests?

 

WHQL drivers are just the Beta drivers signed by MS

Just as Windows RTM is just one of the pre-release candidates they thought was the best, and signed it as Gold

 

WHQL drivers are hardly safer, one of their first drivers around windows 10's release caused BSOD's if you merely moved your mouse. IMHO betas are better as they can push out fixes quickly.

This driver is okay on my 10 install. Maybe things will be more stable by the november update and hopefully WU stops forcing drivers. Perfectly stable on 7 though.

Remember the nVidia video driver that when woken from sleep would not spin up the video card fan?

only thing I find atm that is wrong with drivers is DSR smooth factor has ZERO effect no matter the setting
