Hi guys long time no see, im too busy with my two babies and my wife... :)

I bought my new PC and i build it myself. i worked in computer for 5 years in the past, so i know how to build computer ...

This is my system i bought recently, i didnt buy what i said you a monthg ago, i got more money and i buy a better gaming PC:

    motherboard: ASUS H97-PLUS
    intel i4690 3.5 ghz
    kingston 16gb ram 1600
    ANTEC 750 watts hcg-750m, modular
    Gigabyte Geforce 980 TI G1
all stock fans for geforce and cpu
But my PC CASE is big with 4 fans.
the temp are great. my geforce 980 ti is 69 C max temp even in high overclocked
    4K monitor Samsung

Before overclocking, i played Witcher 3, Project cars and Dirt rally several hours without any problem.

The problem is: ( i overclocked my video card only with OC GURU I i know afterburner is better but i prefer OC GURU II and i use unigine heaven, furmark , 3d mark and passmark for benchmark and testing )

It seem i got a stable system after several testing hours
i tried to set voltage higher but i didnt got any difference.

So all is DEFAULT setting in OC GURU II, except
    Core speed: 1280 mhz
    Memory : 8000 mhz

I tried 1:30 hours of FURMARK, 1 hour of uniengine heaven, tried 3d mark in ultra at 4k and extreme at 1080p. ALL THESE TEST WORKED PERFECTLY NO PROBLEM, NO GLITCHS, NO TDP , NO DRIVERS PROBLEM....

BUT Passmark cant finish !!! in each try (3), Not at the same place but in graphic benchmark, the screen show a lot of glitched square and freeze and blue screen happen.. ( 1 times in colors test where a lot of colors pop up, another time with the earth and moon view.) i unplug my PC and restart my system, the boot process said that POWER SUPPLY SURGE HAPPEN. Not sure if its power supply related.

i hope i didnt screw and burned my video card. is it a power supply problem ? is it a video card problem ? is it a overclock problem ?? even if all others tests works perfect.

    Thanks for help.
    i really need help.
    THANKS

Disable the OC, run it again, if it passes, it's the OC

Furmark is not recommended for GPUs though, last I heard it could physically damage them, dunno if that's still true but I keep away from it

I tried Furmark, unigine heaven and 3d mark again. All work perfect . only Passmark dont succeed.

Can it be a compatibility or software bug with Passmark ?

( i will try Passmark with no overclock and tell you

your right, and its not good for testing stability anyway because i observe a boost clock of 1380mhz or something on a 1506mhz max clock 970 :D
temps were 65c. but i dont think it will damage them really, what about the OCCT gpu stress which is similar to furmark?

Passmark passed correctly with no overclock. Thanks for the tips i will avoid furmark now.

So are you 100% sure thats a overclock problem and not a Passmark software bug ?

Man! I cant get 3d mark to succeed in 4k with overclock and without overclock. I begin to panic. It succeed before even overclocked before i tried Passmark. IS MY VIDEOCARD damaged or my power supply damaged? What do you think ? Thanks for help, im scared!

I tried power to 130% when testing for a fewminutes.. I was 107% max power testing in furmark. Was it dangerous ?

I played with offset max at 0.87 and minimum offset at 0,112 too , but i played with voltages only for 30 min only, could not help me to overclocked more so i reset all of them to 0. Was it dangerous ?

My GPU temp never go higher 71C

Thanks for answer. Im installing lastest driver now..

My doubt are on the power supply too. Never seen a power surge error when booting.

Sorry my error, the power supply is not corsair but ANTEC HCG-750M modular.

Driver updated. I tried 3d mark with and without overclock. it succeed both times. I will try passmark again.

Do you think the power supply get too hot after a few hours of 3d gaming un a row and begin to fail only after a few hours.

Thanks for answer. My shop accept to exchange my power supply for the same or another brand or a stronger one. What do you think guys ? Is 750w enough? Is corsair a better brand thanks antec ??

    Thanks for answer.

I tried passmark with and without overclock, passed it both.

Finally it seem a driver issue ? What do you think guys ?
My driver was 355.30. Now 355.82. I tried several times unigine heaven , 3d mark ultra 4k, passmark, my problem dont happen again, with or without overclock settings.

Should i still change my psu to be more safe ? A stronger one? Do you still think it could be psu problem ?? I still find it strange the boot message about psu surge error... I pass OCCT in power supply mode 10 minutes no problem and no voltage problem.

About passmark, check your GPU score and compare it at passmark.com.

With overclock setting i got 13640 for GPU score and i got 3600 for global result like yours , thats powerful, and i got 20000(19986) in 3dmark firestrike standard test.

Anyway thanks for answers about driver issue or psu related...
