So the battery went to 65 hours when it went sub 10% and I plugged it in. I have to say I'm impressed.

In environments where I have charging capabilities (home, work) the battery life doesn't really matter. It matters when you're out and about for a full day and have no way to charge it. In this scenario the G4 performs insanely well.

    I just got the G4.

Loving it so far. Managed to get it rooted, witch is a little bit of a pain but easy enough if you have played with rooting and modding before.

I now have a camera that can do 60fps @ 1080p and improved bit rate for 4k videos. Before it was 30Mbps now its around 60mbps and it shows!

What I want to get it a glass screen protector.. Just need to find a decent one.

Just picked my G4 last week. $100 Verizon rebate is still in effect until the end of the month.

Very nice so far compared to my old S3. Battery life seems a lot better with the G4

I got a three pack for about $10 off Amazon. !Flash brand, I think.
    Edit: Found it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XI0P0KO

Got a three pack because I was fairly sure Id ruin at least one.

put the camera in manual mode for those low light shots, drop the ISO to 100 or so (I usually use ISO 50) and play around with shutter speed until you find a good exposure. Might be a fairly slow shutter speed, around 1/2s or 1/4s, but you're not holding a long telephoto lens plus the image stabilization takes care of camera shake most of the time. You'll produce much better low light pics.

That's what I do, lol. Manual, iso 50 or if very dark 100.

    You don't get all the $hit grain/noise...

I doubt the shipping would be worth it.

You don't need to root it to change the DPI.

Loving the phone, but I wish LG would hurry the **** up and unlock the bootloader for all the other versions already.

Maybe some are confusing DPI, Resolution and LCD Density a bit here?

Has anyone used the Quadbeats 3 headphones that come with the G4?

    What are your thoughts?

Im not sure if there is something wrong with mine or not but there is no bass in them at all. Just very tinny. They are the same if plugged into my PC or Tablet. (Nexus 9)

I tried an old pair of Sony headphones that I got with my Z2 and they sound fine on my G4.

Faulty headphones or are they just bad? Id be surprised if they are bad as the headphones that came with my G2 were damn good.

They don't have much bass, just lot of treble, you can add un-natural bass via equalizer.

I suggest PowerAmp. It's one of the best, if not the very best Android audio player I've ever used.

There are many options including a great and responsive ten band equalizer ranging from 31hz to 16k.

Plenty of sound control whether you want bass, treble or a balance of both...

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer&hl=en_GB

It's a paid for app, however, it's only costs 0.99 cents to unlock the program to make it the full version.

Give it a try, you've nothing to lose.

An app that plays music is not much use as I use Spotify so I would need to use some sort of Equalizer app

G4 can be found pretty cheap, but i sold that phone after 3 months of use and it annoyed me way too much.

It had touch issues which resolved in latest update.
It did lag on me at random times, but every phone does that.
Performance on 3D heavy gaming in lacking, much lacking.
SD808 is NOT energy efficient nor the LCD screen, G4 has one of the worst battery life.
Sound quality is poor when using headphones, speaker is loud and ok.

on the good side- Camera is a total victory, low light, bright sun you name it, it handles all conditions very good.
Screen is vibrant and colours are good, it's an IPS panel after all.
    MicroSD+Removable battery.

I changed it for the Note 5 and never looking back, while Note 5 does not have sd and removable battery, the S pen, sound quality, super awesome AMOLED screen, performance, Exynos 7420 SOC is the best out there and most energy efficient, camera is about the same, better battery life despite have same capacity, best 3D gaming performance, easier to root and install custom roms.

With that being said, G4 getting Android 6.0 as well so it might help with battery life, but if i were you, i would wait for a good Snapdragon or Exynos 8890 device and they will be much better than G4.
