the question is, is my cpu bottleneck my gpu? 1055T seems old for todays new games.. if im gonna upgrade my cpu, is there any difference? how many fps should be added?

im not rich person =( is there any cheap procie i mean budget procie for pairing with my new 970? thanks guys! sorry for my english

If you're running a program like MSI Afterburner and monitoring CPU usage, does your CPU hit 100% usage when gaming?

Yeah that cpu Will bottleneck a 970 something like a 4690k and mb will help. I would save up and go Intel when you can.

Performance will be even greater with a new CPU. Something like simple i5 4460+H97 would show huge difference compered to your PII.

In youre running really low in money you can get a FX-6300, i think its much better than phenom2, but i still recommend you at least a i5 4460, its much better but much expensive. I dont think youre cpu is bottleneck the 970 gtx in witcher iii , but im not a expert. if you can get 40-45 fps in ultra with nvidia hairwork ON at 1080p without moving Geralt, just load your save in grass or forest and do nothing , 40-45 its the normal average for this card.

I think it wont change anything at all ! At best 1 to 3 fps not more.

It wont worth it to change your CPU for witcher III.

Except a few games very affected by the Cpu , you wont notice a difference. your phenom 2 still ok for now.

JUST DISABLED Nvidia Hairwork, and let all other setting to maximum you will have more than 50 fps all the game. you will be fine and without Nvidia hairwork the game have a lot less stuttering or slow down. A lot of people play witcher 3 with nvidia hairwork Disabled it wont worth it , the difference is not major in graphic

It will be better to get a 980ti but you will have to change your Power Supply so it wont worth it either.

No he wont get more framerate than 45 fps with a i5.

A lot of benchmark got 40 to 45 fps with a gtx 970 and a i5 or i7 at 1080p at ultra with Nvidia hairwork ON.

Note: i played the game with a FX-6300 overclocked to 4.0 GHZ and a gtx 960 Highly overclocked and i got 35 to 40 fps without moving in differents locations. a Fx-6300 is much better than your phenom 2

check your gpu usage in msi afterburner, if its 99% all the time then your CPU is fine for the game, if it dips a lot then a CPU upgrade will help fps.

you better with Intel. MUCH BETTER !

If you go with AMD to save money , go with the FX-6300, its enough, Good in Single tread and multi thread.

Otherwise go with intel even the 4460 is much better than AMD can offer , thats my opinion.

Go Intel I5 4460 or 4690 or 4690K if you have the money.
AMD has more unstable FPS in games than Intel CPU

( But if want more FPS in Witcher 3 and games , Go with a 980Ti and upgrade your Power Supply)

Yeah going from a FX 6300 to a 1055T is like barely a difference. Intel will be a day and night difference.
