You could say that shotties truely turn inf combat into CoD tbh. Tbh alot of the people that whore lockers, etc just would like a game similar to BF but inf focused (not that hardline failure though). CoD is insanely arcadish imo.
Pearl Market is really growing on me because of that reason. I'm a CoD player from way back, but prefer Battlefield; but not really interested in the vehicular warfare. (my stats show this as well) Pity there isn't any Pearl Market 24/7 servers around (servers are too expensive to rent as well)

I don't use DirectX because it runs horrible for me.. Phenom 955@3.8 On Mantle it's smooth as butter though.. I went back to the Omega beta drivers from last year and ended up crashing again, this time BF4 stopped working, not the strange DirectX Mantle Crash message. My PC never crashes, it's only since upgrading to Windows 8.1 -___- Windows 8 original is perfect.. ughhh.... hurry up windows 10 I want to get off 8.1 lol I hope Windows 10 doesn't crash like this --------____--------
Play on the no-shotgun servers, most of the infantry servers I see now have banned them, as well as flashbangs and other gimmicky gadgets that BF4 has way too much of. The amount of effort to kill (no ADS required) for shotguns is so low...

Just use what maxes out hipfire lol. That or quickscope with full choke (did that alot with the 870).
Have you deleted the mantle folder in your document\bf4 folder? Thought I ask since I get terrible fps with the 290 if i don't delete it every new driver.

Changed my Send/Receive buffers on my wireless card to 128.. default is 256, shotguns register a bit better now, it actually feels noticeable. Maybe it's just placebo? I don't know.. but I was certainly getting multi kills with the shotgun now.

Though it's best to buy some better high quality Devolo ones. 500 mbit or higher. Pinging to gateway gives you about ~1 ms with good electrical cabling. The 200 mbits are a no go, they'll give you ~4 ms.
Tried to play on big maps again, think i'll stick with locker... Got killed twice within a minute by UCAV by 2 different players, fun time...
Since Locker and Parcel Storm are the only maps I play I wish there was a selective download feature. Why have 30gb of garbage when I only need like 6gb of it. I bet it would improve loading times too.
It shouldnt really affect loading times as it only loads the level you are currently going to play, not all of them.
On a mechanical hard drive it has to traverse through all 20 cas files, having only 3-4 should improve load times for specific levels?
