Why?

 

Cause if people are using more than 1 monitor there going to get a black screen on bootup or if people are using infinity they will get black screen
or if people are using single monitors that are 100+hz they will get black screens

its hard to find the one setting to rule them all when there are more and more possibility involved
then again people like to tweak so im all for it but people will realise they will find more and more issues when they go messing with idle voltage.

one other thing, in the bios editor on the voltage panel on the right of the voltages there is empty space, would it be a cool idea to add names next to those to signify what those voltages change

like

3d voltage
2d voltage
idle voltage
uvd volage
memory voltage
ect ect that way people know exactly what voltage does what ect just an idea cause im looking at those tables and have no idea what voltage changes for what clock lol

I'm guessing through experience the Stilt has considered releasing a -25mv offset gaming bios which would mean -25mv across all DPM states stock voltages as it's a global offset.

 

ok 875mV achieved thats -50mV and maybe 3-5W lower power consumption for idle

there is no memory voltage and no AUX settings yet in software
there is also no 3d voltage or 2d voltage or 3d frequency or 2d frequency

its just 7DPM states and min and max frequency for GPU and MEM (i think reason why there is 3 values is just for historical compatibility)

 

might want to name the voltage states and gpu frequency states to something more recognizable for newbies ect so that they know what voltage there changing for what state on the gpu frequency states lol

There is no control for MVDD on reference 290/390 cards.
The only software adjustable voltages are VDDC (core) and VDDCI (memory interface) and they are both controller by the same controller (IR3567).

Custom cards such as ASUS Matrix and MSI Lightnings might be a different story.

Forgot to mention that you will never achieve a FULL control over the power management on these cards. The driver will perform certain adjustments without the user knowing about it.

At deep sleep when the power gating kicks in there will be and automatic -50mV voltage offset. To get rid of it you´ll need to disable ULV from PowerPlay table.

At default the maximum VDDCR voltage is 1.48125V.
All of my bioses use lower limit for enhanced protection (1.36875V). No matter what kind of offset you use or what voltage level you input into PowerPlay table the voltage will never exceed these values.

In MSI Lightning 290X case there is no MSI Lightning 390X donor and i assume it will be needed cause it uses Samsumg VRAM.

Do you think it's possible to have a solution for 390X>290X for Lightnings?

 

Using method you highlight in post 568 plus voltages columns pages 23 / 24 of this datasheet (as they are AMD SVI 2) would be correct to use for conversion to hex values?

I'm guessing you do this in the VoltageObjectInfo table?

 

its finding correct offset by itself if you fail at 6.25mV calculation
is there easy way to mess with AUX voltage? i can go -100mV in afterburner

 

No it doesn't .

He is stating if you wanted to set 1.111V it would not work as SVI2 code stipulate what a voltage can be.

The closest is 1.11250v so that becomes 1112 as integer.

In datasheet OneB1t you will see 1.10625v & next step is 1.11250v , difference is 0.00625v (6.25mv).

tested with 900 875 850 always finding closest offset

into 1043 will give me 50mv of extra juice?

 

There are 2 more of that 993 on PowerPlay tab
6 changes in total.

But we don't know if DPM1 is higher then DPM0. The Stilt said that this is necessary...
