One hour in Valley, one hour in FurMark, and about 10 hours in the Witcher 3 with Everything Ultra, Hairworks w/4x MSAA, and shadows on high. I'm downloading heaven now for the hell of it.

EDIT: Just ran heaven a couple times over with Ultra Quality, Extreme Tesselation, 8x AA, and 1080p with no issues. My screenshot of the score didn't save for some reason I think I got a 2600 or something close to that.

Huh. I don't understand how people are getting clocks like that. I can't even get close. Can your motherboard affect overclockability? Come to think about it I was never able to raise my CPUs bclock either, only the multiplier.

How is 1253 only 1355 boost? I'm at 1215 and its 1438 boost.

Seems mines the only one that's different and significantly so. Couldn't get a decent overclock from my 290 or 480s either, couldn't raise bclock on my CPU, just multiplier. Beginning to think it's my mobo

Strange.. maybe the same card could be tested in another setup?

Wish I could. All my friends computers are sorely outdated.

Yes, to a degree. Some boards are better at keeping a system stable when pushing high overclocks on components than others. But, the difference is rarely anything dramatic. If there's a massive difference, the likelihood of the mobo being the culprit is slim. Not impossible, but very very slim nonetheless.

Perhaps updating the firmware on the motherboard could help?

Hmm that's strange. I want to tell you that it is one of your components, but for now I'm just going to go with the bad luck from universe explanation since I have no other ideas.

I think there's a few stages to boost. at 1215 your boost should be around 1300 in gpu-z. Not sure if that is what they guarantee? max boost depends on temps/volts, power limit, gpu lottery...

Adding voltage in MSI AB raises the boost clocks as a result.

Thank you for your time :)

Edit: Just understood what you meant by "regular" ok so no OC on cards and as i have a modded bios, there's no boost anymore. 875Mhz on both gpu's.
Their boost normally are 1006 and 1019Mhz
