I have decided to up my budget from £550 for reference model to £640 to get an EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+ when they are eventually in stock don't mind waiting couple of weeks as 970 is no slouch

Scan.co.uk has EVGA NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti HYBRID Graphics Card 6GB for £640 if you have space with the external rad.

I keep looking at that model but my case is very tight Haf 912+ I had to mod it to get H100i in the top of the case don't think I would get it in.

Hoping to play at 1440p DSR on 40 in 3D TV with 980ti

I noticed on my 290 I would get video playback stutter all the time, I thought it was a result of poorly encoded video but on this card I have 0 problems with that. Could it have been a result of the poor frame times on the 290? More and more glad I decided to ditch AMD.

    Hey guys,

i bought a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980 Ti, after sending my previous 980 Ti with refrence cooler back, because of heating problems.

But i have a problem. With the new card many games are crashing, freezing my system and i need to restart.

    Here is a list:

    Witcher 3 -working
    GTA V - sometimes freezing
    FIFA 15 - working
    CS GO - freezing
    Dying Light - freezing
    Far Cry 4 - freezing

So, is it the gpu or is the driver the problem? I tried different, 353.06 and 353.12. Both the same problems.

I have no artifacts or somethings else. Just crashing/freezing.
Temps are okay, never get over 72 Grad Celsius. Didn´t overclock the card, it runs in stock settings wirth 1350 MhZ boost.

Before i had a MSI GTX 970 without any crashing/freezing.

Hope you guys could give me an answer.

    Thank you in advance.

Edit: need to use Firefox because using Chrome causes crashing my driver on desktop.

Edit 2: Thanks. A clean driver install solved the issues. Love my Ti now :)

Err... have you made sure your cpu oc is stable ? .........

But it's only with your new card? .... weird..

Maybe try downlocking the core to a bit less or something... try running with 1300mhz... see if that makes a difference.

Make sure your driver install is clean also.

After fighting with Crossfire madness for almost 2 years of game releases, no mantle, TressFX and almost every game not having crossfire support when released. I have moved back to green team.

Because I couldn't stand it I ran out and bought a reference Nvidia brand GTX 980 and instantly was enjoying much better frames on ARK and Witcher 3, Running at 1428Mhz boost. Love this card already.

However, since the 980 Ti is around $100 difference, I ordered EVGA SC+ 980 Ti, and it arrives tomorrow, can't wait!

Fury X not having HDMI 2.0 sealed the deal, not to mention the ton of gameworks titles, and better driver support from Nvidia. Thinking back, I had to go through all the frametime issues with AMD, I HAD to run radeonpro, which has stopped being worked on long time ago.

I mean yeah you can compare things by exchange rates but economics isn't that simple. That said 800€ seems like an awful lot.

So I got 1225mhz (1416 boost) out of the core stable but I couldn't even get +100 memory so I'm not even going to bother with that. How the hell are people getting +500 out of the memory?
