Download GPU-Z, install it and click on the sensors tab.

If it's still in 3D clocks then open up nvidia control panel and make sure power management is set to adaptive, I had issues with my old 780Tis not going into 2d clocks with it set to maximum performance.

Ok so I had to restart after changing to adaptive in order for that to work. Is adaptive going to cause problems in games?

People have said that you can get micro stutter from having it on adaptive but it's not something I've encountered personally.

Your firestrike score looks fine :)

Well holy crap. Witcher 3 max settings including hairworks full on and the following shadow tweaks gets me a steady 60fps at 1080p. Also, the frametimes are very noticeably faster than my 290 was.

    CascadeShadowDistanceScale0 - 4
    CascadeShadowDistanceScale1 - 4
    CascadeShadowDistanceScale2 - 3
    CascadeShadowmapSize - 4096
    CascadeShadowQuality - 2

How did you manage that overclock? Did you modify the BIOS? I managed 1200(1403 boost) and +425 mem with 110% power and max heat of 77c.

Ok so I settled on 1175 core and +350 memory just to be absolutely safe. I could go higher but this is an expensive card to ruin. I maxed the temperature out at 75c. My results are as follows:

    Firestrike:
    Overall - 15022
    Graphics - 19555
    Physics - 10995
    Combined - 6863

    Heaven:
    FPS - 95
    Score - 2394

Pretty damn good considering that's double my overclocked 290 performance.

EK states that the Titan X backplate does work with the 980 Ti.

No Bios mods and fan profile at default, max temp 64deg. Basically just kept incrementing core and testing for stability until I hit 150 which was my target and then worked on memory. My card is boosting to 1380 on stock settings, it hit 1530 on the above overclock.

I will be running it at default clocks as its all I need since its boosting to 1380, just wanted to see if it would break 1500.

I think I just got unlucky with my card and you got lucky. I've been seeing a lot of 1250s in tests which is right in between ours.

Yea its luck of the draw I guess, not sure if any other G1 owners are getting higher boosts. Look at it this way, its still a great card and a decent overclock, enjoy the gaming :)

Can confirm that all EK Titan blocks and back plates work just fine for the ref 980Ti since I'm using them.

Grats man, that's a nice OC I'm can't seem to get past 1250mhz core (1450mhz/1478mhz boost speeds) with +50mv and I'm concerned about pumping more into it just yet (only got the card on Monday). Memory though is +300 at 3802mhz.

    *Edit*

Had a quick play and can get it to 1285mhz core with a 1512mhz boost at the same +50mv and reach just over 14k in firestrike.
