So it looks like it'll draw more power, run hotter and poss be just behind the 980Ti in performance!? Looking more and more likely I'll go for a 980Ti should I change things in the near future.

Hopefully they'll get launched soon and Hilbert can show us real performance numbwrs!

    GPU size 23x20mm ~ 24x20mm. Still smaller than 980Ti/Titan X.

Considering the GTX 980 TI also overclocks to about 1500mhz on the core, this is not going to be pretty for AMD. Too bad because this could have been the perfect card for my mini-itx build.

It will be cheaper then the 980TI plus the huge memory bandwidth makes it a winner over the 980ti. Also this gpu is more future proof then any nvidia card out there.

AMD has innovate every time, and every time innovation comes with downsizes. I hate when people throw rocks at companies that offer free features and moving the tech forward.

This is definitely my future card.

So really no DVI. WTF amd. Guess I will have to wait a bit more to upgrade my monitor as well. I'm running amazing korean panel with only 1 DVI port so I actually need it.

AMD can't even beat the 980ti this is not looking good after all.

Will be I interesting to see the numbers, but if this is right then I'll probably heading over to nv for this round!

Considering the only huge difference is the HBM over the 290 series (the architecture has small changes to work with the new memories) i say it's a big win for them.

A lot of disappointing news here but still if it performs close to the 980 ti while being cheaper its still a winner.

Or you could, you know, get a passive DP->DVI adapter.

Original Plan for Fiji was E3. Just because nV released 980Ti, some rumor sites presumed (wrongly) that AMD will react and cancel everything they had prepared and will just hand over cards...

Why would it be more future proof? Also your first statement cannot be taken seriously considering we haven't seen any benchmarks yet. What worries me most at this point is the fact that it is going to be sporting 2x8 power connectors and a hybrid cooling solution. :3eyes: Hopefully amd is going to price it below 600$ if it matches the GTX 980 Ti considering the latter is most probably a lot more efficient.

Why will you have to upgrade your monitor as well? Just get a HDMI>DVI cable or an adaptor a few quid.

Too many people seen to be hung up about DVI being phased out insisting they will have to upgrade their monitor, nonsense it really is a complete non-issue.

Mmmm... 28nm, water cooling, 2 8-pin power adapters, another hot running AMD card.

Would REALLY like to see some numbers soon - itching for a new card and with these news I'm starting to lean towards nVidia...

GO AMD and deliver a monster card - surprise the sheit out of us :D

Why so much hate toward AMD, are people here got fiji's samples and know about final specs and performances .
