Hi all, I am looking as setting up a home NAS system and using the DROBO 5D. Has anyone had any dealings with this unit, if so what are your thoghts. Or can anyone recommend an easy to use NAS system
i have been using synology for small office, two of their 12-bay models and a handful of their 5-bay models. i can say their DSM software, which is the operating system to the NAS box, is quite nice. didn't have to read an instruction manual had it set up in 5 minutes, figured out everything it could do in about 20 minutes by stepping through the DSM control panel to see what was there. check out their website, and their user forum.
