Do we use the "beta" flag or do we use the "advanced" flag?

I thought I remembered reading here that there were changes and that "advanced" was the flag to use to get access to the latest and best written projects. But now I can't locate any such mention here. :bang: lol, maybe I need to do a search.

i think core 17 is using advanced flag now not 100% on that though

Thanks for that. I only asked because my Estimated Credit seems a bit lower than usual. I've been gaming more, and away from home and not folding, so maybe I get dinged for that. It will be great when things get finalized.

I'm getting Fahcore 17 with beta flags on my machines. Should I add the advanced flag to be safe?

So to Beta or Advanced that is the question is there any need for it now on GPU or CPU slots now that core_17 has hit prime time

I've just restarted folding with 7.4.4 and seems to be running fine but is there still anything I need to add to the args for each slot or is there now no need

From what I have read, AMD GPUs are fine. The FahCore_17 availability issue seems to be with Nvidia GPU users since they are getting FahCore_15 WUs which gives significantly lower PPD on Kepler GPUs as opposed to FahCore_17 WUs. However, it was announced that additional FahCore_17 WUs would be available in the future so it should be sorted out (https://folding.stanford.edu/home/working-to-fix-the-shortage-of-gpu-wus/).

the new 13000 WU's take a long time to process compared to the older 8900 WU's almost double the TPF 14m54s as opposed to 8m07s for 8900's
but the good news is they're more than twice the points

13000 = 1 per day for Final credit estimate, 49677.00 points
8900 = 2 per day for Final credit estimate, 40880.00 points

So upgraded the GPU to a single R9-285 2GB card well not going to fold on it anymore folding seems to wreak havoc with this card, constant drops in usage and it ended up saying it was only running at PCIe 2.0 x8 instead of the x16 it started at I had to remove the card from the slot and replace it with the old HD7850 boot up, shut down swap them back and clear the cmos and redo all my manual settings for my OC even leaving the GPU unoverclocked it still did the same thing resulting in another round of swap it boot it swap it back again
