wildly ignorant, for you to run a single 7970 at 2560x1440 and 50 fps you WILL have to use medium/low settings, feel free to keep lying or come with any excuse you want, no one is going to believe your bull****.

exaclty, at 30 fps, i don't see the reason why amd users with high end cards should be playing this game at 30 fps when my friend plays on a gtx 780 at 60 just fine. I would rather dial down graphics to achieve 60 fps but the fps go all over the place anyway

+1 to this. You can barely main 50fps on 1080p with medium settings with that card, let alone 1440p, let alone ultra with hairworks LOL

Any update on the new driver by AMD on witcher 3..
eagerly waiting.. i realise that they are busy in many new driver builds and the optimization on r9 300 series.. but this delay is really getting on my nerves.. xD

Is it on the official AMD driver page yet? No? Then i'm afraid you have your answer...

You can't trust the claims from AMD employees saying it will be here "soon" or "next week" so AMD's driver page is all we've got at the moment.

    Stutter

If your experiencing stutter despite good fps, then dont run with unlimited FPS.

It seems to kill the driver thread and cause some choppy rendering.

I dont undertstand why people are saying this runs like ****. I am doing 40-55 fps on 1440p ultra without hairworks. Its ever so rarely i am bothered with the performance of the game, but instead i just play ?

So you traded two 280X cards for just one 970? Downgrade imo...even with current driver issues.

You are proof that nVidia's investment into Gameworks Benchmarketing libraries pays off.

I agree with you. Nvidia know people will get frustrated with AMD and just go for their overpriced cards. Don't get me wrong they good but to pricey but hey maybe for less driver issues and so on it's worth it in the end.

This is currently what I'm doing until they release a CF profile so I can move up to UHD. It never really dips below 37 for me, and consistantly stays around 40-43. Sometimes the frame times do go 30+ though, which worries me.

And are quite stable as opposed to a few last versions of GeForce drivers :)

I still got like 5-6 280x for sell. Im playing on 1680x1050 so i dont need 980.
Dunno where u see downgrade... If i cant play on crossfire with any new game. So its pointless for me to change everytime cf on/off.

You can force CF on games its not officially supported on.

I would kill for a 280X lol I have to change so many settings to get many games to run smooth on my low end card. Running Witcher 3 in 30FPS triple buffering double vsync.

AMD usually releases drivers on Tuesday, if they are going to release it that is.
