^ Am I noticing correctly in the screenie from Desmios right above my post that the far distance seems to be clearer? If so I'll take a serious look at the SweetFx and Reshade.

It looks that way, I no longer have the HairworksAAlevel in my User Settings file either, maybe Nvidia wanted to make Hairworks as demanding as possible or something, to have that line but no in game option, than after people notice and change it themselves they remove the line completely, just makes no sense to me.

just tested after the new patch, they either unlocked the view distance ini options or they increased it , need more testing

Haha that's awesome Desmios I was about to test the CineFX and right before that wanted to check your response, looking forward to it! I was using 1000 times better v1.3, it's really good as well you should give it a try.

Well there's a way to remove all of the Hud or U/I, including the health bar. I can't make it into a trainer although I'm sure within a few weeks someone will.

You can edit the hud.ini found here: The Witcher 3(main directory)/bin/config/base/hud.ini. Backup the original hud.ini first.

In hud.ini, concerning the line "HudSize=1", apparently the value always stays at "1". So just leave it as it is. I tried using it set at "0" but it didn't remove the hud in the game.

All of the other lines (except the line "[Hud]") are "true" or "false" lines, meaning they all end in "=true" or "=false". Make them all "=false" without the quotes. For example the existing line "QuestsModule=true" should be changed to "QuestsModule=false" without the quotes.

And you're set. Start up the game and no more hud interfering with your view of the scenery.

If you want to restore the Hud then it can be a hassle to have to put the original hud.ini back in but at least this is a temporary method to get rid of the hud. Maybe you can write a script within your OS to switch the modified and original file to make it faster. I haven't done so yet in my Win 7 Pro but I'm thinking about it because I still have to do some questing in order to visit the Skellige Islands.

    Work in progress with

    i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz
    EVGA 970ftw OC
    16gb ram
    Resolution: 1920x1080
    Framerate: Locked 30

I chose to push the Ultra settings further by configuring user.settings, sweetfx and using nvidia inspector for high quality AF with LOD bias and FXAA.

Settings OFF: motion blur, sharpening, chromatic aberration, vignetting and hairworks and Vsync (I capped the game at 30 with inspector, framerate is unlimited in-game)

Update: Made adjustments with a new sweetfx and settings adjusted to 970ftw OC'd standards based on Neogaf's viveks86 settings.

You can disable all HUD elements including health bar via menu.

I turned all them all off but the names of the various species still remain above their head.

Yeah, someone will find the code to remove the pop up descriptors, probably in a couple weeks I bet. Jamesbart, as for the hud toggle in the menus I hope you're right but I can't find them yet and some ppl on the net have been saying you can't toggle off all the hud text yet within the game menus. You can remove the mini map though.

Im getting Stalker SOC vibes from those screenshots. Very nice, mortiscausa.

Suits the game much more than the odd vibrant aesthetic they went for.

Detest those over saturated sweetfx shots, they look so false.

I do not get the "looks false" pretense. Its not like The Witcher 3 or any game looks lifelike. Its ok to dislike it but saying it breaks immersion because it does not look like the real world is ridiculous.

known issue. I had to use a controller just to play it properly. Mouse for some reason or some genius thought witcher senses was best assigned to mouse 2. Of all the things to assign to a mouse button.

Hi, I just released some presets for Witcher 3 over at http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/3710/

They come with a clean install guide and tweaked config file. Let me know what you think and which preset you like from the 4 presets included in the download.

It's a matter of personal preference, but I don't like the move to "more red". It's cartoonish, and reminds me of Just Cause 2.

I prefer the way mortiscausa is heading
