Some media had pre-release materials available to produce benchmark results for Witcher 3. Below the fold an overview....

A Titan X for 60 FPS ...... 30 FPS is never playable for me. I will wait for that patch that says Improving performance. Or maybe disabling a video option that says "slowing the game on/off "

its 1080p we looking at. I wonder if game not optimized or just way too demanding like "metro 2033 last light".

Waiting for benchmarks for low end specs. Not all of us need to play in 1080p and High.
I believe I will be able to have fun playing low/medium at 1680x1050/1366x768 on my Phenom II x4 and R7790.

MLL wasnt demanding considering how it looked. It ran better than the original released 2033. Mind you, 2033 had a whole heap of crap that bloated the config file, once it was cleaned up it ran as it should have.

Wanted to post how it runs on my old GPU, but decoding takes ages and I am off to work now.

Edit: High details even with HBAO+ enabled are 40+ fps as long as hairworks is OFF. No slowdowns. Going to turn OFF motion blur as it is not well implemented (camera blur instead of character motion blur).

This benchamrk was a joke. I will wait for Guru3d to benchamrk it. a r9 285 beating a 780 and even a 960 beating a 780 is just a joke. I don't know how they tested it but sure something was not right.

Kepler is dying with this game! Looks like this new title is favouring Maxwell.

    Nvidia favouring Maxwell*

Maxwell performance compared to amd is normal, but look at kepler performance in comparison to amd... 780 and 780 ti WAY below 290 and 290x...

If it was simply game favouring Maxwell, then gtx 980 would be WAY ahead of amd 290x, but it isnt.

Looks like another round of dirty play from nvidia to make Maxwell seem much better than kepler.

Yep Metro LL ran perfect for me on my old HD7970 @ 1150/1650 totally maxed out 1080p (PhysX off, and SSAA off obviously) and it was buttersmooth 60fps the whole time.

The newer redux versions of 2033 and LL ran awesome on my single 970 at 120fps and now with 970 SLI they are fine at 200+fps maxed out. I can even enable 4xSSAA and still get 60fps. Very very well optimized engine. Also to me Metro LL redux is probably one of the best looking games ever, just the detail, the atmosphere.

Thats not the issue of the benchmark, it resembles alot of complaint about the performance of these cards. Go look on neogaf, steam and Reddit. For some reason, the 960 is trouncing a 780ti! the "nvidia gimping older cards" argument is getting more and more real.

    I have no words....

Crappy drivers aside, I'm heading to the ATI/AMD camp as soon as possible.

Well just wait a month or so for the new Fiji cards. Getting a nice steady 60fps on 2560x1440 on Win 10 with my GTX 970 on ultra (shadow quality set to medium) with almost all of the post processing effects turned off (only bloom and hbao+ on).
