Your watercooled Phenom 2 was running at 3.7Ghz with 1.65v vcore?

    Was it Thurban or Deneb?

Thats one awesome 955/ I had the 965 BE back in the day, and on a Crosshair IV Formula, with multiple memory configurations, it would not break 4.2ghz. and to do that 4.2ghz and be stable, I was at like 1.45v iirc. Ran it at 4ghz with lower vcore for peace of mind.

Imagine the cpu world today, if AMD still made CPUs that could really give Intel a run for the money. Like, as in, having a strained budget wouldnt be the only reason to go AMD. And I dont hate AMD, my first self built was an all AMD rig, I have a special place in my heart for them. It'd be awesome if they came out with a cpu that just raped the enthusiast platform, and did it cooler, and for less money. It'd also be nice to sleep with Britney Spears, but, I dont see either of them happening anytime soon :)

I had my x3 435 running at 4ghz stable for a day. Had to pump a mess load of vcore in it. :D Then had to drop down to 3.8 ghz to remain stable.

to dejan ibanez QUESTION ABOUT YOUR MoBo

Hello, as it seems we have the same motherboard (ga 990xa ud3) and i saw at that CPU Z picture that you have NB frequency around 2800 (by default it is 2000) so i wanted to know how did you menage to do it? I have phenom 2 965 oc-ed at 3.9ghz (only multiplier changed to 19.5 in bios, the rest is on auto for now) what else could or should i tweak??? Thanks!
Update: yep i found it, of course, in bios and set it to 2400 (as per formula that i found on web; cpu freq x 2 / 3.15 ) i tried to tweak my ram as well but unsuccessfully, i have a bit older kingston fury 4gb @1600 and newer furyX @ 1866 but they both run @ 1333 cause it seems that with phenom that is the top... i dont know if there is any point to change ram timings i tried something but they seem to run fastest at auto setting... any suggestions???

update2: my pc seems to work fastest at NB 2200 and cpu 3.8
