So of the two fixes i've seen so far.

One is switching to the AMD card when the game hits 30-40mb, it's incredibly finicky and i've not got it to work, though honestly I do believe people have got it to work.

The next is using windows 10, apparently it's a magic fix.

I've not tried widows 10, no chance i'm reinstalling my OS for a game third time round

Ha that is brilliant. Time to tell all PXAI users to move their asses to Win 10 10061, just so that they can play GTA V!

I am using auto clicker with switch between high performance and power saving thing and it only takes 1 or 2 min to get in to the game.
add 2 option auto clicks ,one for opening to game the other one for clicking to switch high performance in cc.(we need to find when the games start ,mine is start after between 4.5sec to 4.8sec)

That's good to know it works, I cba setting it up, and that you can't restard the game without going through it again.

ridiculous we have to do this though.

still no real response from rockstar or amd

    Try this fix.

    Go to Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V
    Find settings.xml open it
    Change "DX_Version value="3" to DX_Version value="2"

All that does is change dx11 to dx10.1, nada.

I have to do that anyway to make the game run at at least 30fps on intel 4000

Yes you're right, dx ver 1 is 10.1, dx ver 0 is 10, dx ver 2 is 11.

I have no idea why yours was 3, regardless I still have to set it to 1 or 0 to make the game work at playable fps

Windows 10 is the same problem it seems.

Solution is still to switch GPUs when the game hits 30-40mb

A workaround that works for me is using a autoclicker to switch from energy saving to high performance in CCC after 3.489 seconds from clicking retry in the exited unexpectedly screen. It then uses my amd 8970m videocard, first only 300 mhz but as soon as it loads story mode it uses it at full power. The timing however is difficult to get right and depends on your laptop and any other programs running. I used the autoclicker by murgee, GPU-Z to see if its using the correct video card and CCC to switch from energy saving to high performance at the right time. If it launches on Intel then the timing is too late and when it doesnt run its too soon. I know its not a fix but it is a workaround that lets us play untill the real fix is here.

Also I didnt need to change direcX or whatever only the steps I just described. It runs between 40-60 fps on 1920*1080 and settings at fairly high... 4700mq with 4600 intel, amd 8970m, 8gb ram, samsung ssd and windows 8.1

    Still no support.

Used the autoswitcher method a little, but someone has came up with a proper hotfix that skips the address that seems to break the game.

Seem to have gotten a proper quick fix for this

    "-noVendorAPI" command line parameter

Worked for me on win 7

well, that or 15.5 fixes it
