Tried on both 15.3 and 15.4. Did not work. Followed the guide religiously lol.

I'm not a big expert of VSR. But it could work only on certain cards.
Also there is no added VAN option in the CCC this just add a new resolution selectable either in Windows or in games.

This was tested on Windows 8.1 here.
You can try to PM me an export of this region of your registry so I can try to see why it didn't work.
Pm me after you try the previous procedure.

Im running a 280x in Win 7 x64. Maybe that's why its not working. Im also using HDMI not DVI.

It's because you are using HDMI, im currently preparing the next version that will also work with HDMI.
    Stay tune!

EDIT : Released V 1.2.0.0 and it support DVI / HDMI (unknown for display port but I guess it work)

The rules on the forum doesn't really allow to post external link to other site, but if you look closely on the first post of this thread, you will find out.

Does this include the 4k resolution for the 290/x?
If so, does it work with crossfire?

What I did is only a remake of Vbs script into .NET and added the key so it would work with HDMI.
Unfortunately I cant really answer your question as I do not own that kind of system for testing.
I guess you will have to try and find out.

The "unlock" should work similar to other GPUs....unlocking res not avalaible.

The broken crossfire will be similar too, there is no magic in the reg file.

We need AMD to fix it but they don't seem to be very interested right now.

Maybe the next driver with FreeSync crossfire support solves it....or not.

Cool, it worked on my 6950 (unlocked to 6970 shaders) :)

I didn't think it had at first, as there were no new resolutions available after running EnableVSR but after I rebooted one more time, there they were! I can only go to 2048x1536 or 2560x1600 though so that's about 1.3x my monitor's normal resolution of 1920x1200.

I installed both the Tahiti and Hawai patches, as my monitor is 16:10 but my TV, which I game on sometimes, is 16:9. I can now set the TV resolution to 2560x1440 as well. It's actually only a 720p panel but accepts 1080p input.

I've been told that downsampling does much the same things as AA but the advantage of downsampling is that AA starts at 2X and downsampling can be set lower (like the 1.3x of 1080P I can set), so is useful if you don't have the power to run 2X AA. So would AA still be better for me than using this or if not, should I disable any sort of AA (MSAA, SMAA) when using this?

No reason to disable AA using this. It's not overlapping really with any form of AA, except SSAA.

Just for your info, its not 2 patchs. Its either one or the other. The Tahiti / Hawai both overwrite each other so test each one of them to see what seems best.
Thanks for confirming it work on your end.

    THANK YOU WAGNARD!

I could kiss you! Finally some progress. I tried the updated 1.2 version on my HDMI monitor and can confirm it gave me 1440p on 15.4 beta drivers (Win 7 x64 - 280x PC)

It also gave me a bunch of resolutions i'll probably never use in between 1080p and 1440p( 1920x1200 and 2048x1536). The title should be updated to include 15.4 since it works.

This is a good start. Now is there a reason why 1620p and 1800p are not working?

Worked for me didn't know if I wanted Hawai or not so I clicked and installed both gets me up to 1800p or so but also added a few resolutions that are not 16/9. Not a big issue I don't click those.
