Sigh, not again. For certain games you just need a pagefile, if its only a few hundred mb...well known fact. Not discussing this further, again..
Maybe its not his problem, doesnt change the facts tho.

    a simple shortcut yeah

I have seen one case of problems cause by custom radio though, it caused the game to not quite load fast enough when moving around

I think I was wrong though, it might be possible to create a private online session with just your friends though, but I don't know how to do it.

It's OK, you gave me the info I needed.

Regarding something else, have you noticed some graphical bugs here and there? I drove into a huge blob of black which I could later exit and was then not visible until I drove back there. I did record a clip in the Editor but obviously the blob was not there when I played it just now.

Also saw an artifact on a truck that looked like something one would get from VRAM issues but it was only this one time so far.

I might have to use ShadoPlay and record with that instead.

As much as i like the single player part of this game, the multiplayer part just feels... meningless? Perhaps im doing it wrong, but yeah, im not getting much out of the MP part in this game.

This game really seems to dislike any overclocking on the gpu's - have you tried turning that off ?

  11. I've messed around finally for the first time for about an hour. Overall the performance is good.

Is it normal for my 290 to get up to mid 80's in temp? I have it overclocked to 1100/1500. I have my monitor at 70 hz with vsync on. In advanced graphics I have everything off. I'm running AA at 2x and fxaa on. Everything else on Very high except for grass at Normal.

    I'm usually between 60-70 fps.

What's the threshold for this card temperature wise?

I hit mid 90's on my AMD card. Nvidia card much cooler.
I wonder if it is the new drivers pushing harder?

You you watch Better Call Saul? Scene from episode 9: Guy from the job with 3 people, where Mike is the only one left. He took some weapons of the guy...who syncs Trevor.

Yeah I get a weird vsync bug, I'll be stuck at half framerate as if triple buffering is off if I don't alt tab out and back into the game at the start of a session. Also happens if I use NVidia control panel vsync.

Pretty much. Mine stays at 77c at full load, but then again mine isn't overclocked(975/1250).

One of the reasons I'm not pushing the card more is heat. I have a pretty crappy case and let me tell you something, when I'm playing something and my card stays ca 90% load it heats the room up so damn much. :D

I'm really starting to think about watercooling...

You need some friends to start a crew with to really have some fun with it, IMO. Or make some friends in free mode.

I don't know if it's related to Vsync but i'm having the same kinda issue at some time of playing..But what i do is,go to setting / graphics - and turn shadows to normal, and than crank it back up to very high again..And suddenly my fps is fine .It happens very randomly.
