Oh that's a sexy, great clocking chip you've got there! What cooling are you using, looks like h2o?

Pretty decent temps :) Grats on your setup, it looks like a winner! I'd be happy to get to 4.4 with my 5930K, somehow I have a feeling I got the blank, and will see the same limits as Odellot with my chip.

    Be positive :)
With all the time you spend on studying WC and all the rads are planning to use, I hope you can go much higher than that.
You are definitively a perfectionist :)
My current setup is my first WC build. It is certainly not the best loop in the world, but it does the job and I get a descend OC I think.
I spend few days looking at the tutorials and documentations but I did not have all your considerations.
I used what was easiest for a first setup. All in one liquid from EK, for example, seems to work pretty well so far.

Yeah Men..Think Positive..I'm Just Unlucky with my 5930K..Pretty sure that the average chip OC higher than what I got..So I think you will not have the same as mine..

Perfectionist, I wouldn't say so :D But I just try to make most out of the expensive hardware, with the least of noise in terms of noise / performance ratio. Also, ever since I knew there's water cooling for pcs I thought it was like way over the top state of the art holy grail golden bay leaf of custom rigs, so why the hell not try with the most expensive system I've built so far? ;)
I'm just taking so long because I hardly have the time to do any research, and with water inside a computer and all the work that needs to be done to get that thing running, it's not a little thing for me personally. And I feel like a total noob again! :D

I guess h2o will help me to get 'a 4790K with 6 cores', as that's more or less my target for 24/7 oc. Anything above it would be neat, but most likely just for show, as I'm not doing anything besides gaming with my rig. With aplications like rendering software it certainly pays off, but not with today's games I'm afraid, and certainly not with dx12's arrival ;)

Thats odd, shows 1502 for me, and shows up under all OS selections.

I see you have the A, which is still on 1401, 1502 is the DELUXE.

I'm really wondering why it has been removed silently?
I was running that bios for about a week and I got yesterday an error during POST that never had before (CPU overvoltage error). I rebooted and windows was not able to reach desktop (got a light bleu screen). After many trials I found what was wrong. I had to disable core #5.
I tried the new 1502 bios but it did not change anything.
So now I have one dead core :/
Is that linked to bios 1401? Hard to say but removing a release from the history usually means big troubles.

Just a word of advice to you all, be careful when installing your CPU. I now have a $400 paperweight because I got impatient when I was trying to lock the CPU down.

I just built my x99 system yesterday, all went well. So What did you do to brick yours?

I was in a rush putting it together and somehow bent the pins when installing the cpu. For some reason the latches for the cpu holder were very difficult to latch down. So I decided to take out the cpu and that's when I noticed they were bent.
